Played a game tonight that included Chrono-Ranger and Haka against Miss Information. She had two Diversions (that were targets) out early. Haka got out Savage Mana and enough damage was done to allow him to deal the finishing blows to each target and put it under Savage Mana.
First: Chrono-Ranger had By Any Means (with text of "When that target leaves play, destroy this card.") on one of the targets. When Haka destroyed that target and put it under Savage Mana, I destroyed By Any Means. Going back through some recent threads on here, I believe that was incorrect because while the target was destroyed, it did not leave play since it went under Savage Mana. I wasn't horribly concerned about that one because By Any Means would've just hung out in limbo for two turns, as Jim's Hat came out next turn and would've allowed the destruction of By Any Means the turn after that. I just wanted to confirm that I'd misplayed that, and that By Any Means should not have been destroyed when the Diversion target was destroyed and put under Savage Mana.
Second: Because of Guise' card copying abilities, I believe we know that "card text" doesn't include keywords (though I can't find the quote to cite it). Cards under cards don't have any text, but they do retain the type of card they are (Hero, Villain, or Environment.) Do they retain their keywords? Miss Information's front side says "At the end of the Villain turn, destroy X Hero Ongoing or Equipment cards, where X = the number of Diversion cards in play." For the two Diversion cards that were targets that were destroyed and put under Savage Mana, they were technically still "in play", and were they still Diversion cards that would have had Miss Information destroying 2 Hero Ongoing or Equipment cards each turn?
A possibly more common example of the second scenario would be Haka + Savage Mana vs. Voss + Minions. If Haka destroys a bunch of Minions and puts them under Savage Mana, but they're still considered "in play", are they also still considered "Minion" cards which would count toward Voss' win condition and damage reduction?
