Chairman, Advanced, Rook City, Three Players

I've been trying to find a consistent way to beat advanced Chairman with this set up, with little luck. So far my record is something like 1-7, with the one win coming from a Haka/Wraith/Tempest team where Haka ate all of the underbosses with Savage Mana and Tempest spamming heal, letting the team build up to a dominant board position.

It seems like there are some nearly unbeatable starts. Contract first is bad to be sure, but I think Informant first is nearly as bad. I've had a couple of games with Informant first where nearly the entire villain deck is in play after the villain's third turn. The interaction between Rook City is Mine! and the Rook City deck is brutal, especially Scum and Villainy. There are also insane starts like Contract first, kill contract, Chairman flips, next card is Prison Break, team takes 6+. I don't think that start is beatable for most hero combinations.

So far my biggest successes have been with teams that can do a lot of damage right away, require minimal set-up, and have ways to recover in the long game. With three players, even Legacy seems an unaffordable luxury since you generally need the damage *right now*.

I'm tempted to throw my hands up at this scenario. Can anyone win this setup consistently ("consistently" being even 50% win/loss)? Again, I'm not looking for general Chairman information, since he's not as bad in the more symmetric environments, but specifically advanced, 3 players, Rook City. I generally play randomized lineups, but specific team compositions are welcome as they give insight as to what works and what doesn't.

>G claims that any three hero team can beat any villain on advanced mode.  I've yet to give that a try, but I can definitely see some games being nigh unwinnable with certain three hero teams, ESPECIALLY against The Chairman.  My group finds The Organization to be an absolute nightmare, so we don't play them as often as some of the other villains.  Visionary is queen against The Organization, especially an early game Brain Burn.  A Next Evolution/Lead From the Front combo with Legacy is nice as well, but there is less of a guarantee that he'll be able to get that combination out in time.  Tempest's AoE is fantastic against them, especially through buffs and whittling down the Crooked Cops first to eliminate DR.

I haven't ever took on Advanced Organization with only three heroes, but I have always had great results with Visionary.  Whoever you take, I recommend that she fills one of those slots.

The claim that any three hero team can beat any villain is NOT a claim that any three hero team can reliably (or even more than 50% of the time) beat any villain.  With the right card draws from every deck, any game should be winnable, but depending on the combination 'the right card draws' may be a very specific set.

My 3p Advanced games against the Chairman have mostly borne out your results.  I think the only 3 player wins I have achieved are with Savage Mana, Incapacitated Tempest, or Lead from the Front/Next Evolution.  I don't think I've ever done Visionary with three players against him, (I generally just play random) but obviously Brain Burn helps a great deal too.
