Ooh, I’m excited by the Order of the Simple Machine showing up in a comic. And ADITL Benchmark, awesome!

Next up, the story about how Christopher survived a tornado.

Windows Update, my least favorite thing!

Good SPPB reference there!

Ooh, episode pi is coming up!

He’s right about hte peanut butter, you know.

Okay, so the next RPG module is going to revolve around the Cult of the Sandwich Bag, got it.

Oh yeah, Sentinels of the Multiverse, heard good things about that game.

A card called “Retcon” in Sentinels of the Multiverse? Nah, that would never work!

I get the snail reference!

Okay, there are way more letters in this than I had anticipated, and they are kind of getting more unhinged as time goes on. c_c; Help.

No, Ra’s pet name for Fanatic is not “Cupcake”, I’m vetoing this. XD

Wow, fresh Paul, on tap? This place is the greatest!

Obviously, Animalverse Gunrat is Gunman.

Neon Necromancer variant could turn his ongoings and/or instruments into targets.

Adam’s got the same problem with blackberries as my dad!

“My asbestos glue! I’m gonna glue you up asbestos I can!”
FUCK.

It’s nice to see some of the less popular / commonly seen characters, like Bunker, the Order of the Simple Machine, and Bugbear, get some time in the spotlight.

I’m also intrigued about what this “digital foe in a digital realm” might be. Will it be an existing character or a new one? A sentient computer program or a human-mind-upload type thing?

I think I’d like a Schema story, but I’d be down for something unexpected.

I feel like Ra’s opinions about the treatment of mummies (the dead kind, not like Anubis’s guardians) would be nuanced. He’s fully aware that there is no Egyptian afterlife, because that’s where his bunch came from and it’s a dead hell dimension now. Like, in the Sentinels lore, all the Egyptian religious beliefs are misunderstandings (intentionally or not) of the powers of extradimensional beings, right?

Only sort of. The Egyptian afterlife realm is still a real place, and some dead spirits still go there. As can the living. So, if anything, he should have more respect for the Egyptian afterlife rituals than mundane Egyptians.

When the prime wardens went there, wasn’t that the wrecked hell dimension on the other side of Anubis’s portal?

Yes, same thing. It’s not the fully thriving civilization it was when the Egyptian gods lives there. But it’s still a functioning afterlife.

The final editor’s note. I fully support FRG having the right to pull the plug on a brand which they could no longer afford, but if they could have waited just a week longer, not only would the planned science editor’s note #90 have happened, but they might have gotten Disparation out months earlier, given how incredibly close it was to finished when they pulled the plug.

If Raymond Mantae’s paranoia is what keeps Dark Visionary from killing him, I would in fact say that he is not TOO paranoid.

Smart Thinker put out two ideas in this episode’s letters which reflect interestingly on each other: a singular entity of patience, and a Newsiverse where that entity has clearly never been, any more than The Fervor has gone to a universe where The Grey absorbed all other realms.

“things Ra does other than Fanatic” snort :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::sob::sob::sob::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

I don’t know that FRG couldn’t afford GtG was the issue. I think it was just not as profitable as they had hoped and the tariffs were the last straw.

I think Soothsayer Carmichael would respect Rambler, post his time working for a Gloomy; and would be likely to grow to like him if they interacted for a while. Given the forces Rambler contends with, he kinda doesn’t have the option of doing it too wrong OR not wrong at all; he has to gamble, and I feel like Cedric would see what he’s doing and with who, and go “if you have to have contact with these things at all, then twisting the word of your bargain with them is really your only option.” So he’d have a grudging admiration despite not fully approving. I think they could be bros. Likely they never canonically meet, but I kinda want them to.

Really pleased with Adam’s answer to the mummy question.

Wager Master would totally do a Guise lookalike contest.

These guys are forgetting their own lore; they said they didn’t expect to live to 2351, when it’s already been established that Christopher will upload his brain to a computer so he’ll never truly die, vehicle Adam will die but the Cult of Gloom IPAs he’s been drinking for years will rouse his dread spectre from the grave, essentially becoming a visual art equivalent of Grimm, and then he and Christopher.mp7 will just keep doing the podcast until the end of turn. (Obviously Trevor will also need to be involved somehow, but I’m not sure what his “thing” will be, since both mad science and dark magic are taken.)
