When Ensnaring Brambles is destroyed, does its effects linger? As in, let us say the the Brambles were able to target hero B, rendering it unable to deal any damage until the Villain's next turn. But Hero A is abel to destroy the Brambles on his turn: will Hero B be able to deal damage again, or does the effect persist despite the death of the Brambles?
I believe it's been decided that since the effect states when it will end, the effect lingers until the time stated. Other effects which state no time limit, such as "+1 damage dealt" effects, are considered to be only on as long as the card providing the effect is still in play.
Oh. Oops. My bad. Didn't see that memo. And thanks! :D
I've always played it where the brambles (or in fixer's case the hoist chain) aren't there to wrap up the hero/villain they were affecting anymore so the effect goes away.
i might be playing it wrong, but to me it feels right that way.
I generally end and effect once the card producing it has been destroyed, but I see Spiff's logic.
What Spiff has said is actually the correct way to play. As it does specify the end time it will be carried on until that time has arrived.
