They seem to have more than enough material to start doing blow-by-blows! If love that for a next step.
Not at all: they said that the TermiNation arc involved some major changes in the Freedom Five’s relationship with the government, for one, and they barely explored that. There’s still a lot of story to progress through.
So I didn’t think of this before the episode, but ‘grad’ means “city (of).” So who is Morden??!
Some variant of "Rook City is the worst" once every 5 minutes
Peacock Talk's excellently alliterative letters
Only part I didn't like was "oevre". In fairness to Christopher, I actually have no idea what the correct English pronuciation actually is, but as someone who also speaks French, I cringed each time I heard it. (I know, I'm being a snob.)
As to what'll happen when C&A "run out" of heroes and villains, I for would love a bunch of detailed story blow-by-blows like we got in the Ambuscade and SW Sentinels episodes. That said, I anticipate that once the RPG/Prime War come out we'll be swinging back to cover a bunch of the heroes and villains again. We've been getting some info from each of the alternate futures, but nowhere near the level of detail we've had for the Multiverse events. Once the related products are released, I think C&A will be free to provide more story detail than they have been.
Side note, it is my serious hope that in the world of Sentinel Comics, neopolotin ice cream is actually called "megalopolitan". It would be even better if the colours matched Megalopolis's crest or official logo. (Strawberry's my favorite part of neopolitan, but we can swap it out for mint or lemon or blueberry or something if we need the colours to better line up).
Rook City: Hope is still alive here. (But that's only because we changed her name to "Jane Doe" on the police report and recorded the death as a suicide.)
I brought this up to Adam at PAX Unplugged. He was surprised it wasn't included in the episode, but admitted they probably remembered having talked about it while planning for the episode, so they forgot to talk about it while recording.
He said it's in Pennsylvania, "not far from here" (PAX Unplugged was in Philadelphia).
Could it be? Could Rook City be my beloved Pittsburgh?
If that's the case, I'ma havta take Christopher and Adam dahntahn and whup up dem jagoffs! Us Stiller fans are here ta kick ass and eat chipchopped ham and there ain't a Giant Eagle or a Sheetz in sight…
(No, but seriously. Pittsburgh in the 70s/80s is the iconic Iron Age city. Take a look at some of the pictures from back then, and try and tell me that it's not Rook City in real life… I mean, when I was growing up, the Loyalhanna Creek ran orange from industrial runoff. I love my hometown, but it's come a long way in the last 40 years.)
