Additional Effects in Play

Ground Pound - Until start of Haka's Turn

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NOTES:

As long as someone hits BB before Haka's turn, Backlash Field won't deal damage.

The Challenge of Fire will hit Elemental Redistributor and redirect it to one of the bots (and probably kill it).

Does Fleet of Foot allow Tachyon to play a card? If so, what card did Tachyon play after the second Fleet of Foot? If not, how did Tachyon play three cards?

Fleet of Foot allows Tachyon to play a card afterwards. The fourth card Tachyon played was Quick Insight.

Omnitron-X

Start: Gaussian Coil Blaster hits Shamise and Elemental Redistributor for 1 lightning damage each, now at 5 HP and 9 HP respectively.

Play: Technological Advancement. Temporal Shielding is put into play. Focused Plasma Cannon is drawn.

Power: Rocket Punch, dealing 2 and 1 projectile damage to Baron Blade, who is now at 18 HP.

Draw: Disruptive Flechettes.

End: Nothing.

HP: 25

Hand:  Defensive Blast, Reset, Technological Advancement, Elemental Exochassis, Self Sabotage, Focused Plasma Cannon, Disruptive Flechettes.

In Play: Gaussian Coil Blaster, Rocket Punch, Temporal Shielding

Trash: Disruptive Flechettes, Technological Advancement

-----------------

Notes: I'm set up for next turn to play Defensive Blast and do 4 damage to all targets.

We may want to wait until Defensive Blast is in play before we have Unity use Hasty Augmentation...

Golem Unity

HP: 21

Hand:  Robot Reclamation, Brainstorm, Bee Bot, Hasty Augmentation

In Play: Raptor Bot x 2, Platform Bot, Supply Crate

Trash: Construction Pylon

-----------------

Start of Hero Turn: destroy Supply Crate, draws Modular Work Bench and Hasty Augmentation

Play a Card: Modular Work Bench

Use a Power: Modular Work Bench, discard Hasty Augmentation to bring Bee Bot into play

Draw a Card: Flash Forge

End of Hero Turn: Mr Chomps, Mrs Chomps and Platform Bot do 5, 5 and 3 damage to the bad Baron, taking him to 5 HP

-----------------

HP: 21

Hand:  Robot Reclamation, Brainstorm, Flash Forge, Hasty Augmentation

In Play: Raptor Bot x 2, Platform Bot, Bee Bot, Modular Workbench

Trash: Construction Pylon, Supply Crate, Hasty Augmentation

--------------------

Thoughts:

Since I think we've got the damage, I went ahead and got the Bee Bot out to either deal with the Backlash Field or the Environment.  I can Augment next turn

Pm me if he needs to flip.

a quick one before I head off for the day - ground pound goes, Haka of Battle with a three card discard, Mere to take BB to 0 HP. I'll work out the cards etc. when I get home, but I will defo keep the other Battle in hand and probably Taiaha.

HakaHP: 34

Opening Hand:  Restoration, Battle, Taiaha, Ta Moko, Vitality Surge, Battle

In Play: Mere, Ground Pound

Trash: Mere, Punish the Weak

-----------------

Play a Card: HoB, drawing Elbow Smash and yet another HoB. Discards Restoration, Battle, and Ta Moko for +3 damage

Use a Power: Mere on BB and draws Punish the Weak. Backlash field deals Haka 3 damage.

Draw a Card: Enduring Intercession

-----------------

HakaHP: 31

Current Hand: Taiaha, Vitality Surge, Battle, Elbow Smash, Punish the Weak, Enduring Intercession

In Play: Mere

Trash: Mere, Punish the Weak, Ground Pound, Battle, Restoration, Battle, Ta Moko

-----------------

Thoughts: Enduring Intercession gives us another option to keep Unity's bots alive a little longer but I doubt we'll need it. I'll keep winding up the next Haka of Battle which is currently at a maximum of +7 damage; with all our damage dealing options in place and unity's bots (mostly) shielded from damage this should all be over within two more turns and we can very possibly finish him off next turn. I vote for maximum carnage on BB.

Tachyon

HP: 25

Hand:  5 cards - Hypersonic Assualt (x2), Lightspeed Barrage, Pushing the Limits, and Sucker Punch

In Play: 4 Cards - Pushing the Limits, HUD Goggles, Research Grant, and Synaptic Interruption

Trash: 7 cards, 7 burst - Suckerpunch (x2), Accelerated Assualt, Quick Insight (x2), Fleet of Foot (x2)

-----------------

Start: Taking 2 for Pushing the Limits

Play Card(s): Lightspeed barrage for 7 points of damage to the the Elemental Redistributor, knocking it down to 3. I then play Hypersonic Assualt dealing 1 to all non-hero targets, Blade takes nothing. Shamise will be down to 5 and ca't deal damage. the Distributor will be at 2.

Use a Power: Research Grant, dres Research Grant and SuperSonic Response. I'll discard my Sucker Punch.

Draw Card(s): Drawing 2 cards, Blinding Speed and Nimble Strike.

End: Nothing.

-----------------

HP: 23

Hand:  7 cards - Hypersonic Assualt, Pushing the Limits, Nimble Strike, Blinding Speed, Supersonic Response, Research Grant

In Play: 3 Cards - Pushing the Limits, HUD Goggles, Research Grant, Synaptic Interruption

Trash: 10 cards, 10 burst - Suckerpunch (x3), Accelerated Assualt, Quick Insight (x2), Fleet of Foot (x2), Lightspeed Barrage.

-----------------

Notes: Now that I can't break into reduction my Hypersonic is essentially useless at this point. So i'm kind of stuck right now.

Maybe we should wait for Haka's turn to be fully posted..

I say you use Hypersonic Assualt first. I am curious to see what happens. :)

EDIT: Advanced BB has 1 damage reduction (not sure if you were taking that into account). Also wouldn't Elemental Redistibutor move the Backlash damage to one of the bots?

That would kill off the Bee Bot which would then go for either the backlash field or one of the environment cards - I'd vote for nixing the Challenge of Fire as we can handle the damage from Shamise and the Backlash Field for one more round. Challenge of Fire would be a big problem for Unity unless we can dump a load of cards - Tachyon might be happy to help there but Haka needs to keep cards in hand as much as possible. I guess we need to decide on how we are going to remove the Challenge of Fire, as if we can keep all of Unity's bots alive until her turn then I really think we will win this in the next round (barring BB drawing nanites!) We do have the possibility here of taking out both Shamise and the Challenge to keep the environment nice and quiet, and the Scholar does have an option to stop BB doing damage so I am keen to hear what Ketigid would like to do this round as it might guide how the rest of this plays out.

Hilarious.

Oh dang, I forgot about the redistributor and the reduction... Well heck... I guess i'll edit my post then.

While the Backlash Field is annoying, I was thinking best to take out Challenge of Fire with BeeBot.  Tachy can Burst of Speed the Backlash Field on her turn if we need to get rid of it.  Alternately, If we can keep Bee Bot in play one more round, I can Flash Forge the last Raptor Bot which would deal 17 damage to BB at the end of my turn.

You've got to consider that as long as Backlash Field is in play though, every bot that deals damage to Blade will be dealt damage, killing most of them, thus weaking the next Raptor bots attack. Sadly there isn't a way for Tachy to get a damage boost or else I would be able to Hypersonic Blade for you.

…when he flips.

Right, but I Haka would have had him flip. Also (the post was edited to a little confusing), the extra damage after the flip (like from Hypersonic Assault) was still dealt to BB.

True, but Challenge of Fire will wipe my Bots unless redirected.  Instead of another Raptor Bot, I could grab Stealth Bot instead

I will vote for Alchemcial Redirection on my turn to keep the everyone safe for 1 more round and I think we have BB in the bag in another couple of rounds.

If this is ok, then I'll update the play in another 1 hours' time when I get back to my Scholar deck.
