Kind of weird that we got a whole episode for essentially five characters, some of whom don't show up much even in the only book they feature in. Then again, it was only about half an hour of airtime. And now we know what Adam's superpower is.
Darnit, there was something else interesting I wanted to comment on, but I forgot it. D: Typical.
I really enjoyed this one! I like Naturalist as a character, but he sometimes feels quite disconnected from the rest of the Sentinels âverse, so having these characters around him really helps flesh out his life and his story.
I really love all the Secret Identity drama, with people knowing or eventually learning the secret...good stuff, and something we donât get much of in Sentinels.
Regarding the argument about who's the best at running a business: Both Chairman Pike and Maia Montgomery do a great job, but consider that Maia is only doing hers part-time! She's managing a huge corporation, plus patrolling the streets at night, plus galavanting off with the Freedom Five, and her company is still successful.
Apparently Freya at age 4 was a supervillain. Youâve heard of Captain Atomâs enemy turned ally on the Justice League, Major DisasterâŚFreya Rebottaro is Miner Disaster.
Itâd be fun if Crocodile (not Alligator, you embarrassing armchair herpetologists!) Naturalist ate an entire drowned hippo leg, then took human form, and the magic that transmutes his body also turns the contents of his stomach into cheeseburgers and potato salad. I agree that itâs more useful for storytelling purposes if he needs to digest most of his meal before he can change. It canât really affect the intestine contents much, since thatâs never really empty in any healthy animal, but you can definitely say he needs an âemptyâ (mostly) stomach. He must be at least slightly hungry to change.
I really want an AkashâBhuta promo thatâs the Inverse Powersiverse version, where sheâs made of water on one side, air on the other, and doesnât use her Limbs at all.
First episode of March 2020. What an ironic time for them to sign off with a crack about creating the future you want to seeâŚ
