I love Unity doing the Sorcerer’s Apprentice. I want an art of Freedom Tower with hundreds of Unity-bots carrying brooms falling out the windows on every side. If writing the story I’d also partially template it on the Star Trek TNG episode “Elementary Dear Data”, where they accidentally invented AI by telling the Holodeck to outsmart Data.
This episode might be the ideal balance point of the entire jigsaw puzzle which is the SCU. Christopher rattled off every title that was in publication the year before OblivAeon, so I feel like that would be the most valuable single chunk to start with if attempting to reproduce their legendary spreadsheet and build an outline for the entire publication history.
Weirdly short cover section. They pretty much just instantly agreed on something they’d already mostly decided.
I instantly love the Mosaic setting just before they name it; Darzon 7 may be dead, but the other twelve inhabited planets of the system would be great to flesh out. Also, I think I want to say that the Lucky Numbers from Deepest Space are Mosaic citizens, that Darzon’s entire culture counts 7 as a lucky number because their seventh planet was an underdog who won big, and that in the wake of the Seven’s defeat by Idealist and almost immediately Darzon 7 being wrecked by Sever, the surviving Darzon people now think seven is the UNluckiest number.
