Aside that this is twice in a row theyā€™ve uploaded Letters Page episodes to GTGā€™s YouTube. Wonder if itā€™s a trend or if itā€™s just tied into their FB marketing theyā€™ve been doing.

If itā€™s a trend I hope they eventually upload older episodes too because I would like those sweet sweet YT auto-subtitles.

Oh wow, nearly 3 hours? What a day for itā€¦

angry cold, that definitely tracks

Iā€™m not surprised Christopher did debate in high school, wow.

Iā€™m so excited about this topic though.

You mean itā€™s not actually called ā€œDistant Futureā€? Iā€™m kind of surprised.

In my mind I thought ā€œAmericaā€™s Futurest Legacyā€, but I wonder if they could have done ā€œFuturist Legaciesā€? Like, was futurism even a thing talked about in 1999?

ā€œItā€™s right, but it sucks.ā€ Which means itā€™s good! Come on, guys, be bold!

Legacy Twins? Sounds great!

I was hoping theyā€™d get some kind of combo power. This is awesome.

Adamā€™s unapologetic ā€œcorrectā€. XD

Oh man, the amount of time between questions here lmao

THE NEON NECROMANCER

So we need six Writerā€™s Rooms for this series, is what Iā€™m hearing.

Iā€™m not sure La Comodora could actually visit this time? Couldnā€™t she not see beyond Oblivaeon? Although maybe that hadnā€™t been established yetā€¦

Oh good, Iā€™ve been wondering about AZ and Haka since the episode started.

Sentinels+? XD Thanks, I hate it.

Sk8blayd mentioned :3

I donā€™t remember bladium either, but I knew exactly what it was just from the name.

ā€œThree really cool Progeny heads in the same spacesuitā€ wins for best letter writer name ever XD

Ok, silly fanficy idea I came up with after hearing about the Church of the Dawn.

Kathrine was born to 1 of the superpowered church leaders but had no powers, which her parents saw as a divine punishment and mistreat her as a result. Eventually she runs away and becomes a kick-ass laser gun-wielding vigilante named ExcommuniKate.

Nothing like a good excuse for a combined pun and homage.

Hope we get space for more of this universe. Thereā€™s as much potential here as the Inversiverese and Xtremeverse; perhaps moreso since youā€™re not exclusively limited to adapting Universe-1 characters (though all the magic characters being dead probably closes the gap).

La Comodora could travel to the far future until OblivAeon became inevitable. That is what got her actively counter plotting.

I like that the 1999 writers accidently wrote something that works with modern knowledge. Ata is still around and strong but since ā€œmagic is deadā€ cannot use Māori ritual to enhance himself so using his wisdom to mentor is better than just fighting. Presumably he does punch someone in issue 6.

We can also see some of the Galactic Strike Force history where all humans are a bit extra because of Parson genetics. Presumably each of the twins first child would inherit that family line power set. and each multiple birth would in the future would create more branches and with ā€œGalvanizeā€ as an example we might see unique powers that interact with other bloodlines

Itā€™s mentioned one of the powers is ā€œsilver formā€ but itā€™s never really explained. Anyone offhand know what that involves or what comic book character that might relate to power wise?

I would guess living metal like Colossus. Possibly more light weight and probably bad for lycanthropes

Wonderful episode.

I was definitely hoping for ā€œLegacies of Tomorrowā€ as the title of the comic; it covers multiple Legacies, but also how a bunch of the other characters are also legacies in different ways, and itā€™s in the future, and it sounds comic book. But it probably doesnā€™t sound 1999 comic book; that needs the 70s, or to be late 2000s.

I would back a Neon Necromancer writerā€™s room (and an entire addition of a Neon Necromancer limited series.)

I think I recall them also saying that the realities arenā€™t necessary lined up timewise, so the Prophecies reality could be in its year 2351 at the same ā€œtimeā€ (?) that Universe-1 is in its 1999.

The Final Wastelandā€™s reality is thousands of years ahead of Universe-1, but CON was still able to travel from there to Universe-1 during the OblivAeon event.

You know, youā€™re absolutely right. I was envisioning something like Silver Surfer, myself. Good letter question!

I used to say I lamented Sentinels couldnā€™t really have a ā€œsurprise kids from the futureā€ story because of the way time travel works, but this does have some of the same vibes.

I had a good sympathetic chuckle at the bit where Christopher really wanted to engage in some serious alternate history crafting, but Adam had to point out comics donā€™t do actual proper AH crafting, lol.

I love how in keeping with Argent Adept being something of a butt monkey in a meta-meta sense, that the Neon Necromancer is someone who would drive him up the wall and result in a lot of grumbling.

I totally need all the arts for all the new characters created in this.

I feel a little guilty that all I could think was, ā€œWonder Twin powers, activate!ā€ Some things just never fade from your memory, lol.

when I said 1999 writers, I meant that when this book came out no one knew that La Camadora is the reason Haka is immortal. Mainly because when the book came out in 1999 La Camadora did not exist as a character

Commadora. A camadora is a jacket.

If weā€™re really insisting on typo nitpicking, itā€™s La Comodora.

Thatā€™s a good point. In 1999, they probably would have assumed it was magic of some sort, and by rights he should have been dead. There would be no reason to ascribe it to cosmic shenanigans.

I was confused by that, too. They clearly understood it with no explanation, but I donā€™t see that itā€™s a standard comic book term. I donā€™t think itā€™s like Colossus, or else it would convey toughness like Lanternā€™s, and sheā€™s less tanky. Silver Surferā€™s form is just sort of general cosmic-ness; the silver itself is cosmetic. I thought Silver Samurai had some silver-related power, but no, itā€™s just his armor (his power is energy focusing through his sword). Beacon is definitely reflective, but thatā€™s all I got out of it. I think Iā€™ll ask when I write my follow-up letter.

A least seven, to cover the Disparation re-visit by La Comodora. And it seems there may have been more than one of those.

they talk about people living in the deep levels of Megalopolis going to the park dome to unwind and I am just wondering of Alex Griffin is keeping them safe
