I was surprised by how brief this was, but I guess two-thirds of the content was already covered in previous episodes. <.< Which is odd, since, y'know, title of this one and all...

Still a good story. :)

Certainly enjoyed some Ra and Fanatic interaction.

Man, I wish I had listened to the Ra and Ennead episodes right before this one, because I think I forgot everything relevant! Maybe I’ll take a look at the wiki later to see if I can remind myself of the whole story.

This kind of slipped through as an aside: Christopher said that The History of Sentinel Comics would be “part of” the Kickstarter for the RPG. I hope it’ll be purchase-able as a standalone, too!

Yeah, given how long it had been since the Ra and Ennead episodes, I wouldn’t have minded this being a comprehensive overview of that whole storyline in greater detail than before, but there was still some decent revelations, particularly about Ra and Fanatic.

I hate that across six years since announcing it, they never managed to make the History of SC book a reality.

“Atum-Ra” was mistaken for Ra? O RLY? There couldn’t possibly be a really obvious clue that these are different people?

Imagine how it feels for those of us that paid extra to get our name in the book and still not knowing how my name will be used beyond giving them a suggestion. I understand there have been various issues but it’s still irritating.

In issue 5 of BbF, when Ra is crushed by the realization that he can’t get the Staff of Ra back, I really want Fanatic to roll her eyes and mutter “it’s always the staff …”

(Yes I’m having her quote Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but BbF has her and Ra both quoting Monty Python, so I say my thing is okay.)

The debate about mythology as non/fiction is a really deep quandary, and I’m glad that C&A didn’t try to settle on a single answer.

I like that Paul Bunyan and John Henry could both be dwarves.

They say that the crappy original Ennead story is totally retconned, but I like to think it actually happened, was undone, and the reboot happened instead, because of La Capitana/Commodora.
