Expat vs. Chrono Ranger?

Was looking through the livestream transcript and saw this:

CursedRonway: @Gtgchristopher Do Chrono-Ranger and Expatriette get along now or is there still bad blood?

GTGChristopher: @Cursedronway Better now. It helps that they rarely cross paths.

I was totally unaware they didn't get along -- did something happen between them?

Look at Hypocratic Oath in the Sentinels' deck.

I asked a follow up on that and Christopher said it occurred in Cosmic Contest.    The art Ronway referenced is from Hippocratic Oath.

Ah, I don't have that deck yet. To the wiki!

I think Chrono called her "litle lady" and Expat shot him.

Just my opinion, but I doubt Jim studied Early 21st century social norms in the Final Wasteland.

I find this amusing, because I only recently realized that the alternate Chrono-Ranger Nightmist summons is, well, also alternate Expatriette.

Is that Expat? I thought it was supposed to be The Operative.

You know, I could see that. I figured it to be Expatriette for a few reasons:

  1. Dual-wield pistols
  2. Same style of gloves
  3. Facial scars (You can't see her right eye, so this isn't a great indicator.)
  4. Similar stances
  5. The theme of many of the heroes in that picture is hero combos. You have Skyscraper/Tempest, Setback/Legacy, and Captain Cosmic/Parse.

I’m not saying it can’t be alternate Expat, but the alter-Ranger looks like she has a lot of Native American styling. (Turquoise, hair style, clothing.) Are those facial scars, or paint?

I figured she was the flip side of the old cowboys-and-“Indians” trope.

Could also be La Capitain

Native American Sheriff makes sense for a concept like Expatriette.

I still think the theme of the characters is probably the easiest way to look at it. You have two different themes happening there. You have different alignment villains, probably along nemesis lines (looks like Akash'Bhuta with Argent Adept's signature neon-green glow, a holy Apostate, and a heroic Ermine.) You also have the blended heroes. That makes me think it's an Expatriette/Chrono-Ranger mashup, because any other combination doesn't really fit the themes you see in the other characters.

Going by the hairstyle, facial features, and expression, I thought it was Helena. Compare the artwork on Embolden.

I also thought it was La Capitan, which I think would be a reasonable theme for a mashup, since she and Jim are both time-travelers.
