So. One night I decided to get 3 challenges at once.
two-Heroes
Legacy vs. Baron Blade
Win a game using all the Original 10 heroes (I had Fanatic left)
I decided to play it flavoresque (That’s a perfect name for a porno). I was in Megaopolis. My thinking was thus:
“Legacy is showing Fanatic about the value of mortals, because she seems to be a but grumpy and away from the little people. Baron Blade then revisits his plan and attacks the humble city. With the other heroes on other missions, or too far away to get there in time it’s up to Legacy and Fanatic.”
I played 6 games. Each one I lost. One game I was this almost puts thumb and index finger together close .Legacy was kaput. I just needed one use of my power from Fanatic. She was was boosted by Heroic Resolve. Then the paparazzi came and made sure Baron Blade wins. I couldn’t use powers, I had no cards to play, and I was on the bring of death. In the end, the paparazzi didn’t get their story, they were “unfortunately” casualties in the wake of a vengeful mad scientist. Legacy and Fanatic were no more, and Megalopolis was doomed.
You should try that again in another environment, like Insula Primalis. Because of cards like the Paparazzi, Megalopolis is harder than we tend to think it is… :-\
Or Atlantis. As long as you can keep cronies on the table and lower than you, Krakens are nicer T-Rexs are. Although I guess with Legacy, if you can get Danger Sense out its less of an issue.
I might try Atlantis or Insula Primalis just for that reason. Eveytime I played it i got closer and closer.
But, there are times my stubbornness knows no bounds, and that I like the story aspect of my challenge. After one more failed attempt, I’m going to try a new environment.
I think with just two heroes, you have to make your focus a bit different. Try to concentrate on dealing max damage ASAP, because the heroes have less combined HP to protect them from the environment or villain. Focus less on setting up Legacy, maybe? I think it is cool to do a story. Good luck!
