First EE/IR Game Last Night

Having spent Wednesday night sleeving all the new cards (a process which included unsleeving my 1st Ed base set cards and packing them up for a friend...it felt like saying goodbye to a loved one...), I was able to sit down last night and play a round with my girlfriend.  Each of us took two heroes, as is our custom when friends are not available to play - it was Argent Adept, Unity, Nightmist, and the Wraith against Gloomweaver in the Realm of Discord.

All I have to say is awesome.  The HP and effect tokens really helped us keep track of everything, the revised and new cards look amazing, and the game overall seems to flow really smoothly. We had one or two "oops" moments in dealing with some effects that we haven't handled before (question in the Rules forum for those interested!), but those were totally on us, not on unclear wording.

The Enhanced Edition box, chock-full of sleeved cards, has a proud and permanent place on the shelf of board games we keep in the dining room (where all the games we play most often live). I'm so glad I invested in the new edition and the expansion. Great work, GTG!

How did you fit your sleeved cards in the box? I tried and it was really really snug. I couldn't risk putting them in being afraid they'd get damaged!

I used the 0.99c sleevs.

There was a little bit of worry and wiggling in there. We used penny sleeves; there was some crushing of the tops of the sleeves and the box is bowed out a bit but there's no damage to the cards whatsoever. We are planning to either mod the box by taking out the center divider and putting in something a little thinner, or buying one of the big multi-channel CCG boxes. (We discussed not using sleeves but I take my Sentinels cards to cons and don't want gerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrms.)

I use the box, but I put the cards sideways. It doesn't fit all the cards, but thats why I use a longbox for 800 cards. On;y issue I have is that the dividers gett scrunched if the cards are upright.

I liek the briefcase solution. Looks like it works!
