Foil cards order

I seem to recall someone asking for the order of the foil cards, although I forget who. In any case, I know Christopher carefully picked that order, and thought I'd record it before my cards can played with. So here you go.

Whew!

The best was saved for last as Guise has his collection in front of him.   Well at least until he sells it for like a million dollars

Seems to be by team and other close connections.

Starts w/ Freedom IV/V, in the order they joined, then their intern, Unity, then O-X, whom Unity is very close to. Not quite sure Visionary and Parse are grouped with them.

Next come Darkwatch. Mr. Fixer is first, which makes sense as I think he formed Darkwatch. Then Scholar. I vaguely recall that he has a connection to Setback, but I'm not sure I'm remembering that correctly. I don't know why KNYFE is grouped with them.

Then we get the Prime Wardens. The order is interesting here. I don't know much about what drew the Primer Wardens together. I'm not surprised that Argent Adept might have organized them. Fanatic is listed last and is followed by Ra, who she's close to. Not exactly sure how Chrono-Ranger, Sky-Scraper, and Naturalist relate to the Prime Wardens. I vaguely recall something about the Prime Wardens being on Dok'Thorath in order to help out Sky-Scraper.

Next are the Southwest Sentinels.

Following them are the various antagonists who fight with the heroes vs. OblivAeon, followed by Benchmark and Stuntman who join the fight from other realities.

After that we get Void Guard -- the Southwest Sentinels as individual heroes. The fact that they are separated from the Southwest Sentinels suggests to me that maybe there's a chronological component to this order, but that raises other questions, like Ra showing up as late in the order as he does.

Finally, Guise. Who, of course, would be first or last.

The original Benchmark and Stuntman are from the main timeline and their variants are from another timeline.

I know the recent reveal of Prime War over in Tactics shows Sky-Scraper as being part of the Prime Wardens.

Dunno about Visionary, but Parse works in Freedom Tower – s'why her nemesis is Miss Information.

Next come Darkwatch. Mr. Fixer is first, which makes sense as I think he formed Darkwatch. Then Scholar. I vaguely recall that he has a connection to Setback, but I'm not sure I'm remembering that correctly. I don't know why KNYFE is grouped with them.
Sort of – the Dark Watch formed to find out what happened to Mr. Fixer.

Yeah, Prime War shows her as a member. As for The Naturalist, his powers were a curse from Akash'Bhuta, and the Argent Adept helped him figure things out. Chrono Ranger's got several cards showing him fighting Akash'Bhuta (including one Bounty, and he's shown on one of her cards), so it seems he was there for some major battles with the Prime Warden's first enemy.

Oh I know this! Argent Adept was the one who organized and "leads" the Prime Wardens (fun fact: in SotM, "leaders" tend to be support oriented, like base Legacy, Argent Adept, and even Team Leader Tachyon). Captain Cosmic was the first member to join Argent Adept and Prime Wardens #1 revolved around a battle with Akash Butah.

The bio from preorder and in the video game for Captain Cosmic list this

As Captain Cosmic, Hugh was able to join forces with other mighty heroes to protect the earth. He was even the first hero to aid the Argent Adept in the first confrontation with Akash’Bhuta, making Captain Cosmic the second member of the Prime Wardens. However, even while fighting alongside mighty heroes and standing between innocent people and assured destruction, he is ever searching for his lost brother, hoping to find some clue as to his disappearance

Got a card binder with 4 cards on a page, works great because you get a lot of heroes on one page, and the 9 on a page don't look as nice.

Had to redo the order a bit, put Bunker last of the FV, his last card sharing a page with Unity, had to manipulate to get Dark Watch and Sky-Scraper visible at once, but also re-ordered a few to get a better look to the pages.
I also oriented the 2 card heroes vertically so the variant is below the base.

It looks gorgeous, and will definitely make it easy to let people pick the heroes they want to play.

In case anyone wants to do something similar here's the order I used:

page - heroes (ones next to each other are visible together)

1.  Legacy

2.  Wraith
3.  Tachyon

4.  Absolute Zero
5.  Bunker

6.  GI Bunker and Unity
7.  Omnitron-X, Parse

8.  Expatriette, Setback
9.  Mr. Fixer, Nightmist

10.  The Harpy, Chrono Ranger (considered KNYFE or Naturalist here)
11.  The Argent Adept

12.  Captain Cosmic
13.  Haka

14.  Tempest
15.  Fanatic

16.  Ra, Dark Visionary
17.  Visionary, The Scholar

18.  Guise, Sentinels Set up card  (considered switching Guise and Visionary)
19.  The Sentinels

20.  Ft. Adamant Sentinels
21.  Void Guard Medico, Mainstay

22.  Void Guard Idealist, Writhe
23.  KNYFE, Naturalist

24.  Sky-Scraper, Extremist Sky-Scraper Huge
25.  Extremist Sky-Scraper, Benchmark.

26.  Akash'Thriya, La Comodora
27.  Lifeline, Luminary

28.  Stuntman

That leaves 50 card spots open for custom hero character cards, which I can fill up.

Really happy with how it looks, and would advise this method to anyone looking for an attractive and functional way to store the foil cards.

The card book sounds like an awesome idea. Any recommendation on the type of binder?

I just got one from my FLGS, it isn't a 3-ring one or anything, the pages aren't removable.

I did the same thing. 4 card binder, I didnt' mess with the order too much, because I had enough pages in there to give bunker two seperate pages. The only ones I swited were I put parse after Omnitron (on the same page) So that way I could have all the Dark Watch on the same set of pages. And I believe I moved one more so that way all of the cards for The Sentinels were on the same set of pages

Edit: I figured out who I switched for The Sentinels to have their own set of pages. I also put the naturalist and Chrono together, so I could give Skyscraper her set of pages (although I put the Sentinels instruction card with her) and give The Sentinels their own set of pages. That way you can look at all of them at the same time

Mine just arrived today, and I had a weird question.  As the box has a price tag on it, these cards are meant to be "used," right? This isn't some special "collector's edition, don't break the seal because it will be worthless" kind of thing, right?

I lost track of the stuff we're getting from the Kickstarter.

They have some extras they plan on selling at Conventions but it is a limited item.   I would assume opening them does mean they lose value but how else are you going to be able to see all the shininess and art for the original hero cards.

No, I get that.  I'm being sort of stupid about it.  However, the other hero box we're getting with Oblivaeon will have all of these cards again, just in non-foil, right? If that's the case, I won't actually play with these cards, and I'll just look at them. :)

The variant pack won't contain all of them.   Any of the original hero character cards for the hero decks will not be in the hero variant pack.

For those of you using card binders, do they fit sleeved? I'm quite lazy you see and I don't want to have to take them out and sleeve them every time I want to use them. Whenever they reach the UK, anyway.

Haven't gotten my extra sleeves yet but I already have other cards sleeved and verified they fit in this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0043FLAZM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I used perfect fit sleeves and they fit in the binder easily.

I got a binder that is open on the sides of the card pouches, so they slide in and out really easily.

Thanks!
