if you discard 2 cards for any other reason, can you count them also as fulfilling the condition of Freak Show?
I think not, but not entirely sure.
No.
Just like skipping your turn can't satisfy the condition of 2 Meteor Storms in play, you can only discard cards to satisfy a single effect.
On the other hand, you can combo it up with stuff that looks for discards that happened in the past - like Fugue State Parse or Scholar of the Infinite’s base powers.
Or Parse’s Critical Multiplier
