(i was poking around and didn't see it discussed elsewhere so posting this here but apologies if there is already a thread on this that i missed).
So I was reading the comic and a couple random observations...
p12. panel 3: love the little reference happening in the background there
p12. panel 4: is dr stinson really saying 'wife' ? or is that an error and the speech bubble for that should go to legacy? (not that there is anything wrong with that, just wondering if it's an aspect of her life that i had not caught on to before)
p13. panel 1: it so appropriate to have the 'awesome' inspirational poster in her office :D
anyone else have random things they noticed that made them chuckle/etc?
I am depressed every time I get reminded that Bunker is canonically white, since I am incapable of readng his dalogue wthout imagining the voice of Khary Payton (mostly, as Cyborg from Teen Titans, but rarely Young Justice Aqualad in introspective moments).
I will admit that (when first showed the game and not knowing anyone's backstories) in my mental image of Bunker without his suit he was of a different race & ethnicity…So, yeah, seeing him without his suit took me by surprise too.
PS. By the way, kudos for mentioning Young Justice easily one of my favorite shows on TV these days.
They's jets flying similar to some of the posters Barney Stinson has in his office on "How I met your Mother", Tachyon is pretty much one big giant reference to the works of Neal Patrick Harris. Some of her cards flavor text references HIMYM and Dr. Horrible mainly.
I love the contrasting actions and reactions of the three heroes, leaving home and getting Legacy's exposition. Especially the part where Bunker is talking tactics, Tachyon is talking about how awesome her toys are, and Wraith is preparing for other battle later (and possibly solo). I'm really looking forward to seeing more of Wraith, too, to help get a better view of how she differs from Batman.
easily one of my favorite shows on TV these days.
