Hiya!
(the backstory)
Just got back from Who's Yer Con in Indianapolis and had a blast. Previously, I had heard about SotM from a person about 6 months ago at a gaming cafe called Arsenal (also in Indy). Lo and behold, the game was being played pretty often. Now neither I nor my fiancee got to actually join in, but in watching others play, we totally got stoked, excited, and I basically ran to the vendor hall and purchased the core game, RC, IR, and a single Ambuscade deck. I even chatted with one of the people who runs games every 4th Tuesday at Arsenal. I think he said he might have even been a frequent poster here on this forum.
We finally got to actually play last night and had a blast, even though the rulebooks didn't say anything about what to do when a deck ran out of cards. (That might be a typo, can you guys look into it?) EIther way, we had a blast learning how to play for real, and I immediately wanted to know what was up with Unity (a deck I didn't seem to have) so I hopped on the internet and ended up in the game store here for >G.
(The setup)
I went into the store and basically clicked on every damn thing that said it was for sale, and I didn't currently have. Saw a new set called Shattered Timelines, saw some promo expansion decks that sounded cool, some oversized decks, all kind of stuff. Basically I just threw cash repeatedly at the screen until I realized I had to actually punch in my shipping and google wallet info, and hit purchase to make anything happen. So I did, and aimed for the Fed-Ex two-day shipping.
(The problem)
After lurking on the forums here for an hour or two, I am no longer sure if those items are actually 'for sale' or if they are pre-orders or what. I'm under the impression that I"m buying a bunch of brand new stuff when it's possible that the Kickstarter orders havent' even shipped, and I'm no longer sure if I will get this stufff by the weekend, or if I just need to be patient, or if it might be a month or so.
(The summary)
I just bought some $100+ worth of awesome >G SotM stuff, and now I'm not sure if it will come in this week, or even this month, due to the kickstarter for the new stuff finishing relatively recently, and the poor >G staff being stuck having to get out all the Kickstarter-related shipping out first. Anyone know how it will work or if I am worrying unreasonably like a jerk?
PS. Thanks to the website, i was able to find out that you're supposed to shuffle the trash into the deck if you're ever supposed to draw a card and there aren't any. Which made Wagner Mars Base's "Self Destruct Sequence" not a game ender. Yay!
PPS. Thanks for having an awesome game... rare are the games that I will think about buying only after seeing played for a short amount of time.
