Is New Englishman a word??? I think it should be. It sounds way classier than New Englander.
ANYWAY, yeah, so there's this pretty cool science-fiction convention called Arisia happening soon, and I plan to bring all my Sentinels stuff there to introduce people to the game. This stuff includes the super-secret Shattered Timelines playtesting decks, though playtesting is basically over at this point( SPOILER ALERT: All of it is amazing).
Who's thinking of going? I know robalan mentioned attending; who else is?
Do you have a local game store? Maybe you could find some other players by working with the staff to organize a game day. If you get the staff interested in the game, they are reasonably likely to suggest it to customers.
The only game stores in the area that I know of are Games Workshop (pfft) and a dinky tiny one in Bromley (near where I work) called Time Trek. Well, it's not that tiny, but it's not got much space to move around between the shelves full of stuff ;).
I did go to a games club up till a few months ago (it was where I first played Sentinels as someone brought it with them on a couple of occasions so we played a few games), but haven't been since June or July. My partner can't get to that anyway, as it's on weekday evenings and we live far enough apart that he can't just nip over for the evening and then go home again (as it finishes at 11pm).
My dad expressed a vague interest once when he was watching us play, but every time I've asked him since he hasn't really been up for it. I don't know that many people offline, really, so I've not got really anyone else I can ask. Still, the two of us have played it every weekend since I got it, so that's not bad, eh?
