Hopes for Dark Legacy

I kinda hopped the 125k promo might have been a Dark Legacy Hero card before he became a Villian.

Not nessisarily. Perhaps Fright Train might have had a change of heart after seeing what horrors his team made when they killed Young Legacy.

But that's semantics, though.

I'm thinking best case scenario will be that the heros kill and/or bring Dark Legacy to justice and attempt to pick up the pieces. Like the end of the Dragon Ball Z Cell Saga. People will still be dead, but things will get better… probably.

I'm not sure the other Freedom Six members would work with a guy who had killed Young Legacy, or helped to kill her.

Except if he actually tried to save her.

I picture Fright Train as a mainly macho man, always into the physical conflict and a mercenary doing his job. He is heavy muscle, but I dont picture him as innerently evil ala Baron Blade. I dont think that killing a young woman cold blooded is the kind of things he could do. Perhaps he did try to help and that is the reason why they try to save him from Legacy.

On a related note : Young Legacy got her father invulnerability AND laser beam eyes. If Baron Blade had to ressort to crashing the moon in order to kill Legacy, what in the hell did he use to kill Young Legacy ?

Tell her she was fat while holding up a mirror?

In that case I think she would have killed him

Freedom Four Annual #1 has the answers.

And this is why comic fans tend not to like alternate timelines, movie tie-ins, time-travellin/dimension-hopping heroes. Especially released "simultaneously" with a set announced in the present timeline.

I see it as this.

Consider Shattered Timelines a whole new world in its own. It’s an alternate future.

VENGEANCE (only way to spell it is with all caps!) is set in the EE timeline.

ST Bunker is the “same” person as VENGEANCE Fright Train except from a different timeline!

Ultimate Sentinels

I'm looking forward to playing Legacy's daddy and Young Legacy against Dark Legacy.

"Son, I think it's time for... a family intervention!"

"Freedom Six next issue : Oedipus Rising !"

What if you have three Legacy decks, and play Greatest, Finest, and Youngest Legacy against Future Legacy?

Coolest fight ever.

YES

YES

YES.

But, i think you can only have one limited card in play. Like only One legacy ring. therwise, 3 Inspiring Presences with Galvanize? Young Legacy will be doing 7 energy damage a turn! More with US Legacy.

I thought I remembered Christopher once saying that you could technically play more than one Legacy if you have enough decks. I think I remember him saying you couldn't play as Wraith alongside Rook City Wraith because they're the same person, but you could potentially play as more than one Legacy if you had enough decks. So assuming this Greatest Legacy is another person, it'd be okay to play with him too.

By this logic, you could play as Bunker and Engine Bunker if you had two Bunker decks.

But I could be totally wrong about this. I swear I remember this being said (at Gen Con 2011), but I might just have a false memory.

With this entire timeline business, even the `it's the same person' thing doesn't really hold up anymore :D

I don't have the rulebook in front of me right now. But, when a limited card is already in play, can I play the same limited card (i.e. inspiring presence)? Am I disallowed to play the second limited card? Or when I play the second limited card, the first gets destroyed and replaced?

This will affect how I will play *3* generations of Legacy on the same team.

And it will slightly affect Savage Junkyard.

limited: A Keyword appearing on Hero cards. Limited cards are unique, in that only one card of that name can be in play at one time. If a Limited card with the same name as a Limited card already in play would come into play, the second card is put into the appropriate Trash instead.

Note, however, that in the "normal" game, there are no two decks with the same limited cards. Playing with versions of the same hero with the same deck is a variant. I see no problem in assuming that "limited" only works for cards of the deck of one given hero - if you have two Legacies in the same team, they each have a different deck, and can both have the same limited card in play.

There's a thread around these forums somewhere in which Rabit discussed three different ways to play multiple Legacy decks at the same time.

My remembrance of that is that the easiest, but most boring way to do it is to have each deck pretend the other one doesn't exist. Finest and Newest Legacy can both have the Legacy ring.

The other two methods were about different slices of which cards affected each other and included a tradeoff between how much you needed to remember about which cards affected the other versus how overpowered the decks became.

Back in November last year, I ask Christopher exactly the scope of Limited cards.  He said it's scoped to the table and title.  That means, only one card for a given card title can be on the table at a time if the card is limited.  At the time (and even at this time) there are no cards between different decks with the same name, let alone limited cards of that nature.  When I asked him if two different decks would ever have cards with the same name and limited, he said "Maybe," in his usual Christopher demeanor.
