How are Sentinels and skyscraper promos going to work?

Stop

Incapacitating

Heroes.

I'm a villain target, it's my duty to incapacitate the filthy heroes.

Christopher also said that I'm awesome.

As for the Sentinels, I'd probably keep regular Mainstay, because blanket DR is just awesome, and Idealist. I'd definitely switch out Writhe, and maybe Medico. I like both original and promo Medico powers.

Unless you are facing a lot of aoe damage from multiple targets (Ennead, Voss) I find block is overrated, since the Sentinels don't get hit that much.  If it is 1 enemy target hitting everyone thump wins over block, and if they hit lowest original medico is better.  Any villain that hits highest a lot you are much better off with Thump and the ability to heal your highest hero.  That way the Sentinels just get targeted less, instead of being hard to take out once they are the highest.

D’oh, forum ate my post. I think.

…could Sky Scraper mix and match vanilla and promo cards in the same game? Say, she’s vanilla-Normal, plays a Colossal Left Hook to become vanilla-Huge, then plays Explosive Reveal to become promo-Normal? That would be…shenanigans!

I don't see why you couldn't.  Though when a promo version is made and put into the video game I wonder how that will play out.

They already confirmed that The Sentinels are more than likely going to be all normal or all varient, I don't see why Sky Scraper would be any different.

I didn't recall them commenting on that but it doesn't surprise me.

While this is true, I've also had plenty of games where eventually the Sentinels became the highest HP targets in which case, having block was nifty. There's also always the environement factor since a lot of them have at least one card that does blanket damage.

if I had to pick I would choose the following:

adamant idealist - reduce damage is always great

adamant dr medico. This is better since I see sentinels needing health a lot more than other heroes and the draw card is great to hunt for those signature cards that make the sentinels even better.

mainstay could go either way. I see that one being more depending on the villian.

regualar writhe- too many good combos to get cards you need with this one. Don't usually use his power though.

I'm assuming that Sky's promos will keep the "Tiny, Normal, Huge" keywords and just utilize different base powers, but that tells more about how boring I am than how the actual design would play out.

Also, Silverleaf, from what I understand the "Tall, Grande, Venti" sizing is meant to make customers feel like they're part of an elite few with their own unique coffee jargon. It's a strategy that makes you feel like an "in-group" coffee afficionado rather than just rebranding cup sizes used at any fast food joint around the States. People can get very sensitive and abrasive if you lightly correct their "grande mocha frappuccino" by responding with "Alright, a medium mocha freeze/polar ice cap/funny third thing." I never like doing it to shame or embarass people, but I think it's important to clearly identify what people are getting (plus I wasn't into coffee before I started working at literally every other coffee shop in town other than Starbucks, so I'm not always clear on what their terminology means).

Kansas actually has some nationally renowned coffee! There is your fun fact for the day!

It's not just you.  Sky has to keep those keywords - they're referenced on her cards.  If they changed her keywords to "Hyper", "Intelligent", and "Asleep", then a card that shifts her to her "Tiny" form wouldn't work.

This is the same reason that the Sentinel's line-up can't ever change without severe rules mangling.

Overdrive still works with Bitter Strike, and so I think you could slightly change the names as long as Huge, Normal, and Tiny were still part of them.

Huge boil on my back form, Normal coffee to go form and Tiny chiwawas make me laugh form.

Boom! Done.

Chiwawas?

You think the alien who has a fun speech pattern can spell Chihuahua?

Yes.

Frankly, I'm amazed that I can spell 'Chihuahua'.  Or 'Dachshund' for that matter.

I'd love to come up with powers for these, but I think that would violate >G posting policy, and so it'll all have to be left to speculation.
