That has been true. However, we checked (in the Mod forum) with The Powers That Be, and they were okay with this, since there's no more SotM coming out anytime soon. ![]()
Oh, okay!
Well in that case, Arcanist Lupus would have a several Ongoings with the subtype 'Path'. They'd have various mystical names like "East of Sun, West of Moon" or "Second Star to the Right, and Straight On 'till Morning" (only probably shorter, and not already taken). They'd have various effects a la Modes, Styles, and Forms, but also they'd modify when your One-shots could be played. While a Path is out you won't be able to play One-shots during your play phase, but there will be various other conditions for when you can play them (Start of the Villain turn, whenever the villain deals damage, whenever an environment card is destroyed, stuff like that). The One-shots would be mostly Spells, with some bitey effects thrown in.
So, Rabit's power is basically a built-in portal gun (look up the Portal games by Valve if you don't know what that is). Cool :D.
Yep!
(In the Imprisoned Rogue card art, you can see the portal he's stepping through behind him.)
Oh, whoops. I figured I was far enough on the correct side of the silly/unrealistic/non-canon line to be okay; didn’t realize if I skirted too close to it!
(Plus, I thought, there’s a whole “game engine” forum now…)
I haven't made any decks in a while. I still have the FOTM program. If I wanted to start building new decks for my own amusement, are there any other programs I should use?
I never learned to use the Fotm, but I probably would only be good at the mechanics, and not Art and Stufftm
For a birthday that feels like it was forever ago a friend of mine made me a hero deck of “me”.
Based on my huge love of Transformers, and my tendency to change my appearance/hair a lot, it is imaginatively named The Transformer and is based around shapechanging into different forms (goth, squirrel, cake, nekkid, Mr Bump, Care Bear and pikmin) as ongoings with some one shots which have extra effects if the relevant form is out for them.
There are also some equipment cards which are drinks, the more I drunk the more oblivious to damage I became but had to discard cards once too drunk - I’m saying nothing about why my friend decided to add that in.
It’s a fun idea, but you could tell he doesn’t really play the game himself and so it’s not the most effective.
Ihave a couple ideas about how X-metal would work as a her deck. I figure his deck would be based off of how he is rather inexperienced with his suit so the good effects would be mixed with effects that have him missing horribly and a lot of probability would be involved.
Based on some things I saw last April, I think your idea sounds a great deal like Benchmark. That kind of lines up with what was revealed in the RevoCorp episode, too.
I didn't base this character off of benchmark. I'm telling the truth here.
I didn't say that you were, especially in the context of how long you said you've been working on this character on-and-off vs how long we've really known anything about Benchmark. I'm simply observing that I see conceptual overlap between them.
I actually had an idea about a character who's cards are more based around they're secret identity because they have trouble activating they're powers so they're cards have two effects depending on wether or not you managed to finagle his powered form card out but that wouldn't work for X-metal.
Liar, Liar would probably end up kind of similar to Visionary - an illusionist with a focus on redirects and damage mitigation, and probably less direct damage than Argent.
That is an AWESOME idea, though!
Oh yeah, not done yet, and there's some cleaning up to do, along with it being a not-so-great character design, but here's this.

You should come over to the SotM forums on BGG (if you aren't already), theres a really good variants community there.
