How much HP does an average human being have?

Parse doesn't have any powers that would inflate her HP over what a normal human would have, and her HP is 26.  But Mainstay does, and his health is only 14.  So I'm confused.  Does Parse have a survive ability power that I'm overlooking? Do we just have to assume that her HP factors in her ability to see the enemy coming and step out of the way?  Also, the dreamer only has 6 HP, so if 6 is the average for a human child, and Mainstay has 14, is the HP for a human adult is somewhere around 10-12?

Argent Adept has mystical powers but yet has only 24 HP.  The base Wraith has 26 HP as well and her superpower is just money.

Mainstay isn't a good example since all of the Sentinels are setup to be a balanced hero deck.   All of the Sentinels have superpowers but all individually they have low health.  Together, they are the hero with the most HP

So does that mean that the sentinels in-universe are nearly as powerful as four regular heroes?  Maybe in-game their reduced HP can be explained as an off-set for the ability to just revive with Second Chance?

Sometimes mechanics are there for balance reasons, not for realism. Afterall, if super-heroes have all of these powers, why are they limited by what is in their hand.

Average humans will be closer to Citizen Dawn's citizens than they are to super-humans so I'd say anywhere between 2-5. The Dreamer has more as her powers help her deal with attacks from super powers

Well, how much does Tony Taurus have? He seems like a pretty average dude.

Good point. He has six.  That makes sense.  We just have to assume Parse's HP reflects her ability to get out of the way of villain's attacks.

I think this is an issue that comes up in RPGs, and what exactly does hp represent.

I'm sure Wraith's HP reflects her ability to evade attacks.

I feel like I have more hp than just six, but that may be due to some extra DR padding around the middle...

So few that Spite can kill them before a hero reaches them.

Tough gritty PI Tony Taurus has as many Hit Points as a 6 year old girl with a stuffed teddy, I don't think we can use the cards as a base for a number for ordinary people.

Wow... I just typed up a lot of things... Then when I went to submit it, it decided to go to a "this page cannot be displayed" screen...

I don't feel like typing it up again, but the gist of my point was the HP in Sentinels of the Multiverse is actually based mostly on balancing. The reason The Sentinels have such low HP even though in-universe they are equal to several other heroes, is because the deck would just be plain out too powerful if each of them had 20+ HP in the card game.

Haka has a lot of HP, because themeatically he is a very big and strong character, the mechanics were created with that in mind. The Argent Adept has the lowest HP of all solo heroes, because mechanically he can pull off a lot of crazy stunts, such as gaining a DR of 1 (and to another target), heal 4 HP, and still let someone else play a card.

It'd be really hard to pinpoint exactly how much an average person would have, because really it would depend on what the deck can do.

It's possible that the dreamer's 6 HP factors in her psychic powers, or the heroes being gentle with her, or the teddy taking the brunt of the attacks.

Also HP isn't how hard it is to kill someone, but how much it takes to get them out of the fight.

The average human is going to run from super villains, so they don't even have HP, they don't factor because the Villain's presence is enough to put them out of the fight, incapped by human nature.

Informant has 2hp, not because she's got a weak heart and yelling boo is enough for her to keel over, but because when she gets roughed up a bit she's done ratting and goes off to hide.

Take the Cursed Acolyte, he's all "I'm gonna blow this place up!" and then you smack him a few times and he's hiding in the corner plotting his revenge.

He's not dead, he's out of the fight after performing a clever trick with a Zombie Extra.  Seriously, Heroes need to stop letting him go behind the curtain.

The Blade Battallion is a group of people, but they get 5hp because they are minions, and are probably less invested in this whole gig personally.  "Sorry Boss, must have caught an elbow to the temple in that brawl, knocked me clean out.  Don't worry, we'll get 'em next time!"

If there was a target for "Average human parent protecting their child" I expect the HP would be pretty decent, because you are going to have to render them unable to fight, as opposed to convincing them they'd rather not fight.

He totally is dead, that's why there is a Zombie that appears. Occasionally the Cursed Acolyte gets better during the fight… Things get really odd when we find out he seems to split himself into two.

Ninja'd my edit.  Dammit Ronway!

I felt my Cursed Acolyte senses tingling. Any time he is mentioned, I instantly know where, when, and why he was mentioned.

I just posted about Cursed Acolyte somewhere on the internet! Can you find it?

Yep, I said Cursed Acolyte right here, it was a cunning double bluff

Yes, you said it right there in that post, no one can bluff me! Not even a double bluff!

Can somebody explain to me the whole Cursed Acolyte hype?
