I asked a neural network who should join the Sentinels teams

I just learned about talktotransformer.com, which will attempt to use neural networks to complete samples of text you give it.  First I asked it to augment the flagship team, and it came up with The Freedom Eight:

1) Legacy
2) The Wraith
3) Bunker
4) Tachyon
5) Absolute Zero
6) Goliath
7) Death Star – all 3 of these characters are awesome by themselves. Plus they are the best in the game and a team that can run an awesome game (especially considering the loss to the Phoenix).
4) Rogue

I also asked it to add to the Prime Wardens, but it decided to give Haka a new title and suggest some new game rules:

1) The Argent Adept
2) Captain Cosmic
3) Fanatic
4) Tempest
5) Haka the Morningstar
(Note: All of these cards are considered "Creature" spells and cannot be modified).
For example, I draw a card every time N'Zoth plays this turn and plays a card during that turn instead of casting another spell, when I cast an instant this turn you would draw an extra card and put it into the graveyard.
When drawing a card during your turn, you must immediately play a card from your graveyard before your hand becomes empty (i.e, you draw an extra card at a time). Your deck is now empty.
If my deck ends in front of me I just get a random card I own on me when I die. This means I can still have 2 random creatures, one from my graveyard and one from my hand. I can have 2 random spells when casting a spell from my hand from it's graveyard. When an enemy drops a creature card I may play an extra card from my graveyard as it drops. I have a maximum of 9 cards in my graveyard that I are likely to find and use.
So that's it. You can play one spell every turn if you want.
This card is a little weak on itself, because your best case scenario is having some spells from the deck.

Same deal for Dark Watch:

1) Setback
2) Expatriette
3) Nightmist
4) Mister Fixer
5) The Harpy Queen
6) In a world no more…
A series of three cards to use, both in the graveyard and in the hand. The first two involve playing one of their monsters into the Graveyard, a powerful effect that has the capability to give your opponent nightmares. The third, called a Bribe, is played on the player who plays the first card after activating the effect of the Harpy Queen. If this player does not play the first card after it resolves and does not remove one or more cards from his or her Graveyard, then the player retains the benefit of the Bribe and continues on with the Duel!
Facing off in your first ever Duel, how good are you?
In this week's Top Decks, we go to the city of Yawgmoth! A mysterious evil that was sealed away for more than four thousand years from the end of the world! If this mysterious evil comes to life one last time, can you get avenge your friends from that other world? Do you, and your friends, have what it takes to take it from the other world?

It didn't seem to understand what Void Guard was about at all:

1) Doctor Medico
2) Mainstay
3) The Idealist
4) Writhe
I was very excited for the new title. A writer I've grown to love and trust, I knew I could deliver a book that was truly original and thought provoking.
I'm still waiting to hear the final book details. My wife just discovered the book on Friday morning.
I hope you'll all have a Happy 4th of July season.
Thanks for reading!

Didn't end up as coherent as I'd hoped, but it was sort of interesting.

So this is obviously drawing from a lot more source material than just the names of Sentinels characters. Another fun thing to play with is Botnik, which let's you upload a file of your own source material and let a predictive keyboard learn from it. For hero names, a syllable-by-syllable predictor might be better; do you know of any we could feed the Sentinels lineup to?

Short predictors like that normally require a lot of source material, ideally thousands of entries.  Might work if you let it learn on a list of every superhero from every publisher ever.  But also I'm too lazy; most of those you have to download and set up on your own computer.

Maybe the neural net just doesn't know enough about Sentinels to make informed choices.  I'll just feed it this official copy...

A mad scientist holds the world hostage with his terrifying inventions. An alien warlord from a far away galaxy brings his limitless army of bizarre minions to conquer the planet. A giant rampaging robot cuts a swath of destruction across the coast, destroying major population centers. And who will stand in their way? A team of heroes, all with impressive powers and abilities stand between the world and the forces of evil.

No two of the three playable characters have exactly the same abilities, but each has their own strengths. They are stronger in combat, have more health, and can be damaged more easily, so each has their own strengths and weaknesses. However, the game is more about teamwork and teamwork wins!  The game uses the cooperative game elements of Team Play, where each player can get an advantage over their opponents by taking turns to pick up items instead of simply blocking a path. You get to build your characters and customize them in some way, with customization that affects their attack and movement paths. You choose the weapons, the abilities and the items you use and how much damage you inflict, and it's up to you to decide how to balance them out.  I find the game's multiplayer elements very much to keep you in your seats while you play the game, because I think it's incredibly hard to get bored with it. I really do. If you've heard of the game, it

It WHAT?  I must know!!!  And how do I sit in multiple seats?

Also... I guess, yes, it *is* up to me to balance them out, given how much stronger some teams are than others, what with three whole characters to choose from.
