So, February 12, the second Sunday of February, Sentinels of the Multiverse day? I was going to call to confirm, but my phone low on power.
Turns out it has been rescheduled for the 19th. Again, the third Sunday of the month.
I recently found out myself that it had been postponed until the 19th, but only because I happened to be checking their site. My apologies for not thinking to post the date change here. I won’t be able to make it – will be out of Indy.
FYI – I’ll be at Comic Carnival this Sunday to play Sentinels of the Multiverse, starting at 1pm.
A fun time was had by all this afternoon.
We had four people and randomly decided to play against Dawn.
Then a fifth person showed up, so we decided to play against Dawn on Advanced Mode.
Then a sixth person showed up. Rather than split into two groups, we decided to play against Dawn on Advanced Mode, but switch to playing against the Matriarch as soon as Dawn was defeated.
As expected, having the chance to get built up made a huge difference in facing future villains. Even so, we lost two people to Matriarch. It would have been far worse, I fear, if we hadn’t elected to have continue in turn order such that a few heroes got a shot at the Matriarch and destroyed her Mask before she got a turn.
Grease Gun for the win! With about twenty villain cards in play we were able to ignore all the damage done by killing Fowl (both Carrion Fields in play!) and just pummel The Matriarch. Double extra bonus points for Visionary delivering the coup de grace while incapacitated.
Next get together is Sun April 8th at Comic Carnival.
Shiny - hopefully I’ll be able to make that one…
Just in case nobody noticed, by the website, Comic Carnival will be meeting April 15th. Not sure if they forgot how to count again, or if they are bypassing Easter. This works better for me anyway as I won’t be available on the 8th anyway.
Wow. Glad you posted that Jeff. Tim reschedules when he needs to for his schedule. I just wish there was some sort of notification list to let us know. I’m going to have to get in to the habit of checking.
