Is Spirit Island set in Sentinel Comics?

I don't want crossover to Spirit Island, there's no need for heroes in that game.  I would be okay with a subtle connection through art in the card game or even a mini-expansion environment that was set on the island.

I doubt they would do it, since they don't want to blend games like that, to the point of making Tactics stand alone from the card game with a lack of cross promotion.

I am very OK with Spirit Island being it's own thing and not connected to the greater Sentinels universe. Just pooping out my 2 cents here

If there is crossover, I would like for there to be heroes among the colonists that we're scaring off the island. If we're turning everything on its head, let's have Legacy and Tempest et al be the bad guys.

I would be fine with it, although a promo hero that can manipulate or was descended from spirits – The Scholar, perhaps – would be pretty sweet.

I'm also on the side of "No crossover, please". The game has the potential to be genuinely fun by its own. As I see it, it is simply another story to be told to us by the GTG crew.

I think a lot of people are misconstruing my original question. I'm not asking if there are superheroes flying around; I'm asking if it's the same world. I'm not even wondering about crossover. In the fictional wider world of the game (which we don't care about and will never see in the game), could lots of time pass and find us in Megalopolis?

I don't want superheroes in my spirits, either. However, we know very little about the actual Sentinel Comics world at large. We don't know its history outside of the superheroes in modern times. Maybe this is part of the same world, just separate.
