I think this is the case. Someone asked during the last Q&A if the fact that the game "Sentinels Tactics" has a name that doesn't contain "…of the Multiverse" was telling of something, and Christopher confirmed it was (in his mysterious way, of course). 

I don't know if the Multiverse is collapsing down into a single universe, or if the main storyline's universe is somehow permanently and forever cordened off from the other planes of existence… but I strongly suspect that what we'll be left with moving forward (into the Tactics timeline) is the only universe we'll have to play in.

The Multiverse collapse was a theory that I postited waaaay back when Tactics was first coming out (thread is here somewhere but I can't find it). Getting "confirmation" that "of the Multiverse" is important is interesting but I didn't post because of Christopher's ambiguous answer, it could be important just as an identifier to separate products for us, here in the real world.
