I know everyone is super excited about ST right now being the new set and all but I just wanna put some praise out there for an older set.
I decided to get Rook City along with Shattered Timelines just to try it out and I'm so glad I did.
Spite is my new favorite villian now. Kudos on his design. I just really enjoy going up against a hulk like character that just wants to watch the world burn.
I have an intersting relationship with that set, I consider the villains and enviroments to be punishingly tough, but in terms of flavor I love the set and I dont know what the artist would think but I consider the best set in terms of artistic experimentation. There are several nods to Frank Miller in the art, Mr. Fixer has those cool "style" cards and every card back has a lot of flavor, like the tabloid cover for Plague Rat or the dossier on Spite.
As for Spite he is a real challenge that requires a lot of teamwork and control, and his whole victim angle is really interesting.
Spite is pretty fun when you're with a lot of people. I think I would like to face him in a dimly lit room while listening to the Hotline Miami soundtrack. Awww Yeah…
Oh man. Hotline Miami for his A side, and Akira for his B side. I am so on board.
