Nice try, but you can't freak our minds with that one anymore. We figured out a long time ago that a new hero will be a part of Omnitron who will become his own nemesis. Go peddle your mindphreaking someplace else, buddy. ;)
It has been stated that he isn't going to the nemesis of Bunker, it is a character that Adam drew in a comic he wrote for fun and has been adapted into Sentinels of the Multiverse. In fact many of the villians are just that. Granted it doesn't mean he won't appear later but as Bunker's nemesis isn't likely, at least not his first one.
There's a concrete villain (resembles Cinderblock from the Teen Titans cartoon) in somene's deck – I think Fixer's? – that I thought could be Bunker's nemesis.
Speaking of Mr Fixer's deck, I wonder if we'll ever get to see that Dragon as a villain, and that stone guy on Hoist Chain looks like it could be a minion of the dragon maybe.
It's somewhere on these forums, I tried looking for it, but the new search system doesn't seem to pull up everything. (or not all post of been transferred over). Sadly we can't look at all post made by one person or else it would be easy to find by searching through Adam's post and finding the pic of Frighttrain facing off the character from Shock Rounds. Heck, even I posted in it so if people were at least able to look at thier own post history I could find it. I search every possible thing I could think of to locate it, even searching "comic" or "FrightTrain" "Fright Train" "Freight Train" and "FreightTrain" leads to no results what so ever.
Which appears to be in the Playtesters forum (so I can see the thread in a search but not click it to read more)- and the link seems to be messed up when I post it
(I did a search for "train" without the quotes if you want to read more on the playtester thread)
I know there's more because I can't find the thread where Adam posted some sketch art, but I have no idea if that thread had the name FrightTrain in it.
Well, we do have a list. It's just in the EE rulebook, so everyone probably doesn't have it yet.
Okay, I'm totally behind on the whole "Omnitron's nemesis is part of himself". When did this happen? What card? I can't believe I'm this far behind.
But yes, we definitely have Plague Rat's nemesis figured out. I put it together like the second day I had Rook City. But then again, it really wasn't hidden. He was where you'd expect to find him - Plague Rat's deck. No big deal. I think he was hidden much more cleverly in Akash'Bhuta's deck. That one was a nice little surprise.
For a while, I thought FrightTrain might have been Bunker's nemesis (I think it was a post by me that Christopher responded to that gave us the name), but obviously now we know that's not true, and that's probably a good thing. I can't see how a villain deck could be made with FrightTrain as the villain. What kind of cards could he possibly have? He's just a background character.
As for my guess to Bunker's real nemesis... I have none. Not a single clue.
The easiest answer for Ab. Zero's nemesis would be to say it'd be a fire-based villain, but I feel like the >G guys know that's what we're all thinking, and they'll throw us a curveball. Plus, if it was a fire-based villain, Ab. Zero would be able to use some of his cards to redirect damage back to him, and Ra would be totally immune with "Flesh of the Sun God."
For Unity, I've got nothing as well.
But Visionary... I think I've got it. And most of you probably do too. You know how in her bio on the site it mentions some sort of alternate version of herself that's in her own mind? It's probably that "Evil Visionary". That other side of her is in a ton of the art featuring Visionary. It's even at the bottom of her bio, and on her incapacitated side.
None of that conjecture came from a card, I think. It was mostly Christopher teasing us. But look at Akash'Bhuta's Disrupt the Field. I feel like the guy up top has been seen on some other cards. Well, enough to fuel my speculation, anyway.
I suppose Ronway is pretty reliable, but the matter is still far from obvious. Perhaps more importantly, though, are you doubting the capabilities of the GTG crew? You think they can't make a terrifying, engaging Fright Train if they want to?
I wasn't completely relying on Ronway's words, I'm pretty sure I was there when the whole FrightTrain-nemesis thing was shot down. I think it was Adam who was like "Nah, it's not him."
But no, of course I'm not doubting they could make an entire villain deck out of any evil-looking background character in this game, but the question is whether or not they could make it good.
Okay, the whole red-eye guy seems legit. I'm still missing where it was mentioned that Omnitron's nemesis would be a part of him that broke off and became good. But it's true, on "Disrupt the Field", the way he's placed seems to suggest he's sort of an easter egg, so he might be important later. I'll look around for him more if I ever get bored.
I wonder how many other of the future heroes we've seen. Without thinking about the possibility of more promo heroes, how many are left? Eight, right? Didn't Christopher say in a podcast earlier this year that there'd be four more expansions after IR? Did anyone else hear that or am I crazy?
