How would they come into play though? They couldn't be the heroes, and they're certainly not the villains.
No... 5 heroes != 5 PEOPLE. It's possible that either one of the heroes is not human, not strangers, or maybe one is actually 2 people.
Certainly? Who knows...
That's what I meant by the guess I made two weeks ago. You know how La Capitan's nemesis symbol is cluttered with like four different things? I put forward somewhere else that it might mean that one hero deck contains four or so people. So if we're all thinking the same way, this may be true.
Her Nemesis is Captain Planet... but you cannot call on him until all the Planeteers are out in play and you let their powers combine.
And that was the day I stopped playing Sentinels.
quick, put this into the wiki!
[wiki entry] Christopher is known to occasionally run away gleefully after saying things.[/wiki entry]
Also, if the theory floating around that Young Legacy is the leader of these heroes is true, she technically wouldn't be a new hero. She'd be someone who's already been around. Semantics are key here. Christopher's responses are a veritable monkey's paw in that any word could be picked up on and counted as false. A very... happy monkey's paw.
It that the paw of a very happy monkey?
Or is the paw itself happy?
... yes
Lojban much?
I'm thinking that the assistant would be more like Bane or Hush: Batman villians who aren't that strong on thier own, but have information (in the case of Bane) or contacts (in the case of Hush) to both find villians to tire the heroes out, and then strike when they're too tired to do anything about it. I mean, just say the assistant sends the Hippo guy and Siege breaker somewhere to wreck some havoc, and then perhaps some other small-time crooks, and then in the background she sabotouges the mission in some way. Or kills those victims...
Aside:I mean the first time I saw Chairman I thought Ra's al Ghul with his league of assasins.
Assistant gives me sort of Riddler vibe sending other villans and leading the Hero on a trail.
Well he IS utilizing both logic and language…
When I logged in, went to the forum, and saw over twenty new replies in the Assistant thread, I naturally assumed that there was a big secret reveal here. I wasn't completely disappointed.
I think what Spiff was saying wasn't that he didn't think it would be fun, but that it didn't have that wow factor. In a way though, I'm kinda glad she doesn't, for future players. Look at Young Legacy for example, I just joined at this kickstarter, so I won't get her. I'm bummed because I'm missing a central part of the storyline by not having her. Someone who jumps in later and misses out on the Assistant might just think "I missed out on the chance to beat up a secretary. meh." She can still be plenty fun for us without new players feeling like they are missing something amazing. Unless there are plans to sell the Assistant as a mini-expansion which I didn't see, in that case through out my thoughts all together.
Yeah, FeelNFine, they'll be selling The Assistant on her own, much like they do for Unity and Ambuscade. The same applies to The Scholar, Silver Gulch, and The Final Wasteland.
And missing young legacy is just missing 2 artwork and one power line. Each being freely avaliable with >G blessing on boardgamegeek...
