I don’t think I’ve ever seen a wipeout this bad in nine years of Sentinels games. Heroes with no Equipment, first turn Suspicious Malfunction, Lifeline plays Repair Leyline to give Tempest back a card to play after he took a fork out of the microwave. This puts out Paparazzi On The Scene, so remaining three heroes lose powers for the round. Then we get Targeting Innocents, which is immune to damage because of Misplaced Memo, so it also triggers Impending Casualty every round, then it’s also a Hostage Situation with a Diplomatic Envoy, and before the Hostages happened, Lifeline played his other Repair Leyline and again managed to make the situation worse. Iron Legacy wishes he could inflict this level of carnage.
The only reason this wasn’t even harder was because Total Beefcake spared Guise from one round of the “4 damage from Targeting Innocents, 5 damage from Suspicious Malfunction” double whammy. Missy just couldn’t bring herself to take him out when he was being that hot, but the Envoy had no such hesitation. Anyway, the whole thing was clearly and obviously a FILTER op, basically shoving prop rayguns into the heroes’s hands and then making them explode on camera, and literally the only thing Idealist did all game was go Monster of Id, then play Bored Now, and deal damage to Lifeline because there wasn’t a non-hero target. Apostate himself couldn’t have planned a better scenario for the heroes to publicly ruin themselves.
