More of 5 players

Do you think it’s possible?

Maybe two villain in one environment, agains 6, 7, or 8 heroes, with a turn order like Villain A, Heroes 1-4, Villain B, Heroes 5-8, Environment.

This is definitely something we tried out during playtesting, and we found that it is actually not as much fun as you might think as it slows the game down a lot and is not terribly balanced. If you have 6 players, you are better off playing 2 3 player games (that’s one of the reasons there are so many cards in the box  )

Yeah, good idea… but I first need someone who already know the game and english or I must switch from one game to another every turn

It’s time for Sentinels+English lessons to my brother!!!

Yeah, my friends and I bounced around the idea of doing two villains at once, but I told them we’d be better off doing endurance mode if we’ve got more than five players. Obviously we’d keep our health the same, but which would make more sense: keeping all of the cards we’ve already got as they are, or shuffling our decks and starting from scratch?

I’ve found that having too many heroes out doesn’t give the villain a chance to do anything, even if you were to reset the play area. Best way to do that would be to give the villain more turns per round. (Think of it like, with so many heroes, they keep stepping on each others toes, or there’s only so much room, so they can’t move quite as fast as a single villain.)

That makes sense. I’ll try that if the need arises, and we’d reset the decks if we know for sure that the next villain in the endurance mode order would be beaten too easily.

If more than five heros were playing against one villain, I think I would set it up so that an environment and villain phase occured at the left AND right sides of the table, with one side of the table one team, and the other the second team of heros. I could see it being set up so that there were two villains on opposite sides of the table as well, which the teams could freely chose to attack.

I have played a game with a friend in which we ran two teams of five against each other as well. We tried it by playing all five of our heros in a row, then turning it over to the other team. (Seemed a little unfair, considering that, if focused on one hero, they could practically drop one before the other player had a turn.) So, if running a team vs team house rule game, I think I would suggest interwoven turns (My first, your first, my second, etc.)

Gonna try that again this weekend.
