After loging on multiple times only to see very few people (if any) on multiplayer, I wanted to start a thread for some meetups. Either to get some specific games going at a specific time, or even when are people most likely to be on.
Good idea. I tend to be on most weeknights nights around 8pm EST. hbk826 is the name because I cannot figure out how to switch it. I'm also on, randomly, now.
It uses your Steam profile display name, which you can change in Steam itself.
If you look here, you will see a handy picture showing you where to change your name
Got it, thanks!
If I'm on it is not until 8PM ET on week nights.
I sometimes pop in for a look during the afternoon if I'm not otherwise busy. There very rarely appears to be anyone on, though :(. It'd be handy if there was a list in the "lobby" showing who's on, plus some means to chat or otherwise engage in communication with those people outside of entering the game creation screen and sitting around hoping that someone will join ;). I'm normally busy in the evenings with Minecraft and stuff, but otherwise I don't mind people adding me to their friends list and asking me if I fancy a game - the worst you'll get is that I say "no, sorry, I'm busy right now" ;).
Would a Google shared calendar be useful? Everyone who wants to advertise when they expect to be on can add to the calendar.
I like Ameenas idea.
Or a Doodle poll?
I love the idea of a lobby chat too, and some way to tell if your friends are waiting for a game or already in one.
I haven't been on Steam for a while. I played Sentinels toayd and learned that I have a bunch of new friends now. My social life is finally improving.
