My Game with my Friends tonight...

Well, I finally have a group of 5 friends who enjoy the game enough to actually want to play it. Tonight, we had Chrono Ranger, Haka, Omnitron X, Fanatic, and Unity against Akash Bhuta at Insula Primalis..and we lost. We weren't doing so bad to begin with, but a string of environment targets/villain targets kind of messed us up, and in the end we were unable to defeat her.

This, however, is good, because I feel like my friends think that we should always win and it should always be easy. My friends reaction to finding out that if Omnitron took 5 damage, he loses all his ongoings that say that. So it was a good learning experience for hopefully many more in the future.

On average, I think the Infernal Relics villains are at a decent difficulty. Most of the time they won't be too much trouble, but sometimes it is just literally hell on Earth fighting those guys.

And then sometimes you misread a card thinking it says it does everyone 4 damage…only to realize later it says to person with highest hp and you shouldnt have lost…like I just realizes

I have gotten my butt kicked by more Infernal Relics villains tha anything else.

*Miss Information looks at me over her reading glasses*

Okay, yes, fine, you too.

Still, this game is like Pandemic. I have a ton of fun playing, even when the world is doomed because the hero team just got wiped out. (and unlike Pandemic, I can comfort myself with the knowledge that there are other heroes to step up and handle things.)

Didn't you know that every game of Pandemic ends with all diseases mysteriously dying due to cosmic radiation? That's how I play it anyways :stuck_out_tongue:

Ohhhhhh thank goodness.

Point is, if you can't stay ahead of the limbs, Akash B'huta will punish you. Hard.

Thats when you end the days. The apocolypse hurts AB far more then it hurts the heroes

Unfortunately, you have to actually have Fanatic on your team to do that.

Though that would be hilarious and slightly thematic. A group of heroes is fighting and losing and suddenly, out of NOWHERE, Fanatic flies in and End of days them.

"Where... where... where did you COME from?"

"God sent me."

In that case, most of us would most likely end up with Jake and Elwood putting in an appearance.

'Course, I would have no problem with Cmdr Susan Ivanova showing up in a White Star.

"Who am I? I am Susan Ivanova, Commander. Daughter of Andre and Sophie Ivanov. I am the right hand of vengeance and the boot that is going to kick your sorry ass all the way back to Earth, sweetheart! I am death incarnate, and the last living thing that you will ever see. God sent me."

...What if Jake and Elwood were the last Virtuosos?

Dr. Zachary Smith:  "We're DOOMED!"

We actually did have a Fanatic who DID just get End of Days...then we lost

Legacy and Ra (and whomever else you like) in Insula Primalis are sooo much fun against Akash'Bhuta. Damagedamagedamagedamage...burnburnburnburnburn...muahahahahahahaha :D :D :D.

Yeah, we had a google + game where the volcano came out against Akash and we just chillaxed with Ra for half her HP

Hehe yup - that is one of the main reasons it's such a good combo. The Obsidian Fields kinda help as well, though. Managed to get the full uber-combo out once on Ra - Imbued Fire, Flesh of the Sun God, Staff of Ra, both Solar Flares, and buffs from Legacy (Inspiring Presence and Galvanise), and for a brief turn or two (before somebody Disrupted the Field) managed to enjoy the benefit of all three Obsidian Fields. It was ridiculous - Ra was doing something like twelve damage with his one-point nukes, and using more than one attack per turn (one-shots plus powers, probably played a Flame Spike on more than one turn as well). It's nice when you can just sit back and kill everything without worrying about some realy horrible card coming out and smashing you to bits or breaking your stuff (or, in Omni-10's case, both at once :P).
