My Turn 2!!!

The last video game heroes to face AoG Spite were... Horus Ra, Golem Unity, Argent Adept, and Freedom Six Bunker?!  Wow... every other one has been leftovers that were really hard to win with.  This one's nearly ideal, just missing one component, which, happily, there was a slot left for.  Visionary filled out the squad, making them doubly near-invincible (Twist the Ether+Flesh of the Sun God on one hand, which I had on turn 1, Stealth Bot+Counterpoint Bulwark on the other).  Upgrade Mode and Inventive Preparation left plenty of extra plays for ongoings to get bounced.  Golem Unity, thanks to Flesh of the Sun God and Imbued Fire, was able to summon all the bots she wanted with impunity.  Only drew one Raptor Bot, but it was dealing 10 damage a round by itself.  It was an absolute slaughter.  Only the environment did a little bit of damage, and everyone finished at 20+ HP.

And Iron Legacy's video game foes are also done: Termi-Nation Unity and F6 AZ were actually really helpful, with AZ wiping out most of the ongoings and Unity's bots dealing the lion's share of the damage.  Hunted Naturalist was, for once, utterly useless, but what made this a cinch was Tachyon starting with a Hypersonic Assault and a Lightspeed Barrage in hand, and another Barrage she played off the bottom of her deck.

Man, Kaargra is just the worst.  I went to finish off her last video game hero, Termi-Nation Unity, with her, and since her allies didn't matter I went for overkill with Legacy, SS Tachyon, Omnitron-X, and Scholar.  And at the end of round 2 it was going great--one gladiator left with 1 HP who'd been Assaulted and couldn't deal damage, score was 5-11 in my favor.  Then Kaargra gets Bloodsworn Judgement, Get Back In There, which brings back Idesa the Adroit, who picked up Stonejaw, Fickle Fans, and all of a sudden it's over at 20-7.  It's just not fun when that happens, there was really hardly anything better I could have done.  In retrospect it would have been smarter for me to not kill any gladiators at all so Get Back In There wouldn't grab them (Idesa had been Assaulted, too), but I would have been fine if virtually anything else had happened there.  Ugh.

Rematch went cleanly, though.  Wiped out all the gladiators in round 1 just to make sure Kaargra played only two cards instead of 3, then wiped the floor with her in round 2.  Final score 3-30.

Damn it, I forgot to finish Kaarga!

Good on you for filling in, MindWanderer.

I'll' just sit over here and finish Amina

Beat her up with EoW Bunker, Legacy, Sentinels, Unity, and Mr. Fixer. Easy.

Alright, jerks, I'm back, let's do this. :V

Made a single attempt this morning, which turned into a ridiculous to-do and a slow, squeaky "there's no way they can win" victory for DC Argent, Fused Captain Cosmic, F5 Absolute Zero, F6 Wraith and the Naturalist over Miss Info, Hammer & Anvil, Greazer, the Operative and Sergeant Steel. It ended with Citizen Hammer and the Operative versus AZ and the Naturalist, who was just untouchable (minus the huge Thermal Shockwave blowback he ate thanks to Indomitable Force). The environment was the only thing that killed heroes: Smoke Bombs plus Naturalist as the highest is an amazing combo. The last turn was Naturalist eating through two Scorching Snaps so he could do a single damage to the Operative and take her out. No waiting for the environment to kill-steal! >:V

One more! Fugue State Parse, Expat, Xtreme Tempest, Haka and Fanatic against Miss Info, Biomancer, Bugbear, Hammer & Anvil and the Operative in the Temple of Zhu Long. None of the heroes fell, but everyone had either 2 or 3 HP by the end. :B Expatriette's done!

Went through one today: Xtreme AA, Completionist Guise, Visionary Unleashed, Xtreme Haka and Setting Sun Ra against Kismet in the Temple of Zhu Long. It didn't feel easy, but given everyone had better than 15 HP by the end, and most heroes had over 20, it was pretty easy. :B

According to the new posts page, no one's posted here all day (until right the heck now), which made me antsy. D: It's Captain Cosmic time!

First, I finished off the Dreamer with Fused CC, Scholar and Redeemer Fanatic in the Final Wasteland. It was a fairly standard Dreamer game, all things told. (Don't Dismiss Anything into an End of Days kind of sucked, but it could have been worse.)

Then I had a terrible game against Infinitor: 3 rounds, totally smoked the heroes, no way we could win. I then turned around and did the opposite to Kismet: 3 rounds, totally stomped her, no way she could win. Xtreme Fanatic, Xtreme Tempest, Fused CC and a randomized Setback had a field day.

Lastly, I said 'nah' to a bunch of potential matchups and instead took on Plague Rat with Xtreme Fanatic, Fused CC, Setting Sun Ra, DC Argent Adept and Chrono Best of Times in Megalopolis. It was a brutal game. Chrono's last play was Hunter and Hunted, so he was dealing 8's to Plague Rat, but all of a sudden, literally everyone was Infected, and with an Afflicted Frenzy on the board! No one actually died, but I think Chrono would have if not for Ra's super-powered Drawn to the Flame. Whoof.

Tried to get a few games in, and most of them didn't go so hot. The one exception was Absolute Zero and GI Bunker bringing Visionary Unleashed, Xtreme AA and Sky-Scraper along to fight Unstable Kismet in Silver Gulch. Go figure, the round I play Thorathian Monolith is the round Kismet destroys the Explosives Wagon, but at least Sky-Scraper was the only one who went down. It was an intense game, but fairly easy, standard for U Kismet. And hey, now GI Bunker's done. :)

Comin' at that ol' spreadsheet like a hurricane! >:V First, a Spite game to finish off F5 Absolute Zero. He brought Best of Times Chrono Ranger, Xtreme Tempest and Sky-Scraper Extremist along and, wow, that was a total rout. Between AZ and Chrono, Spite didn't stand a chance, and only had four drugs out when I killed him. :D I finally did it!

Next, to finish off Miss Info, Fugue State Parse took Omnitron-U and DW Fixer to Freedom Tower. It wasn't exactly easy, but they turned out to be a great team.

Next, taking the fight to Plague Rat was Xtreme Captain Cosmic, with Omni-U, Legacy, F6 Wraith and KNYFE RA assisting. Ol' Ratty didn't stand a chance. But then, he wasn't meant to. :B

Then, some Vengeance! Miss Info, Ambuscade, Greazer, La Capitan and the Operative faced F6 Tempest, Bunker, DW Expatriette, the Naturalist and Fanatic in the Temple of Zhu Long. They actually had to bring Fanatic back to life at one point (wanna bet she wasn't happy about that?); otherwise, none of the heroes fell.

Lastly, Hammer & Anvil, Biomancer, Sergeant Steel, Plague Rat and Proletariat (who had no reason to be there!) took out Dark Visionary, F6 Tempest, DW Expatriette and Fanatic... but not Haka. That was a really close game. D:

Went through a few late-alphabet games. First, a lovely one-round game against Wager Master. DC Argent, Fused Captain Cosmic, Bunker, Xtreme Tempest and Visionary Unleashed did the math to win by the odds!

Next, Agent of Gloom Spite attacked the Block, and Omnitron-X brought DC Argent, Fused Captain Cosmic and Visionary Unleashed to help kick his kiester. Oddly familiar team, that...

Lastly, DC Argent, Xtreme Captain Cosmic (different!), Setting Sun Ra and Visionary Unleashed brought KNYFE along to kick Progeny's butt and OH BOY is the Court of Blood a really great place to fight him. No healing means Scion of Frost is useless, and no radiant damage means he's mostly helpless on his flip side. Great neat secrets discovered!

Had some fun this morning. First, I finally took out Infinitor with those last five heroes. It was NOT easy. Parse and Argent went down, and in the end, it was "We're gonna lose by 3 HP, oh wait, I can hit Infinitor with the self-damage from Embolden, now we're gonna lose by 1 HP, oh wait he killed himself." Seriously, I'm not sure they would have lasted that final round otherwise.

I cleared Kaargra Warfang with Completionist Guise and Fused Captain Cosmic, alongside Legacy, Fanatic and Tempest. Tempest with Seeker and Living Weapon was the reason the heroes won, given that Kaargra flipped twice. Final score was 14 to 30-something, I kind of lost count.

Next, I pulled out Bunker to take on Trickster Kismet (since that's apparently what she's called now!) And after rolling both vanilla Wraith and vanilla Legacy, I said heck with it and just took the whole Freedom Five along. It was a pretty easy game, no surprise there.

Lastly, I took on La Capitan with DC Argent, Legacy, Xtreme Captain Cosmic, Xtreme Haka and the Wraith in the Tomb of Anubis. It was a pretty standard La Capitan game, all things considered.

Still can't beat Iron Legacy with those last few heroes, though...

No surprise I've been playing a bunch of Vegeance games recently! Not actively trying to fill in the spreadsheet, but picking off bits here and there when I can.

First, well first win anyway, was La Capitan, Proletariat, Baron Blade, Ambuscade and Greazer against Chrono-Ranger, Unity, PW Tempest, F6 Wraith and Sky-Scraper in Silver Gulch. That one was pretty easy, I think.

Next, Greazer, Miss Info, Ambuscade and Hammer & Anvil against PW Captain Cosmic, EWAZ, F6 Unity and TN Bunker in the Final Wasteland. That one I remeber definitely that it ended with Greazer and Ambuscade out of the game, the latter ending it. :D

Then, a bunch of Miss Info fights because I'm going through checking out all the nemesis dialogue. :B First, her, Sergeat Steel and Greazer against Legacy, AZ and Horus Ra in the MDP. Another easy game!

Next, Miss Info, Greazer and Biomancer against Young Legacy, Horus Ra and Nightmist in the Tomb of Anubis. That was a close game! I ended with all heroes standing only because I left all the Trials in play and bounced their damage off Nightmist onto Biomancer. D:

Lastly (man, a lot of these games don't count), Miss Info, Friction, Ermine, Bugbear and La Capitan against Tachyon, Dark Visionary, EOW Bunker, Legacy and AZ in Magmaria. (I rolled Magmaria a lot today...) Absolute Zero ended up dying to Crystalloid Behemoths, but he made a good show of it. Tachyon finished the game with a Sucker Punch!

We're down to the last percentage point!

A few more. Well, a whole bunch more, but only two count for the spreadsheet. (And not the one that I would have won had the Arsonist not decided to blow up the Mobile Defense Platform...)

The first one I set up ti finish off the Operative: her, La Capitan, Miss Info and Proletariat versus Mr. Fixer, PW Captain Cosmic, F6 Bunker and DW Setback in the Final Wasteland. Pretty easy game, all things considered, thanks to Fixer and a few Dynamic Siphons.

The other was Plague Rat, Biomancer, Ambuscade, Ermine and the Operative against Eternal Haka, Scholar of the Infinite, Sky-Scraper, Absolute Zero and Unity in Pike Industrial. Lots of damage. So much damage. Everyone died but Haka, it was kind of amazing.

Played a couple games today. Tryna finish off them non-game heroes now that all the released villains are (technically) in the video game.

First, a long, dull fight against the Matriarch. DC Argent and Xtreme Captain Cosmic brought Omnitron-X and Scholar along, which is good, because they're the only ones who made it out alive. With Defensive Displacement out for a number of rounds, no one but Omnitron was dealing damage, and though he hit Matriarch a few times with his Plasma Cannons, it all came down to about four or five Grace Under Fires, turning the tide of birds against the big birdy lady.

Next was a Vengeance game that didn't go so well, but the one after that did. Unity, Best of Times Chrono-Ranger, Xtreme Tempest, Setting Sun Ra and Xtreme Haka prevailed against Bugbear, Friction, Hammer & Anvil, Sergeant Steel and Greazer in the Enclave of the Endlings. None of the heroes went down! Haka kept Unity and Chrono alive for a while, Tempest dealt all the damage, and Ra, toward the end, said "Screw it" and unleashed a Solar Flare-powered Blaze of Glory on everyone, including himself.

There are 14 matchups of each type left. DAWN OF THE SECOND DAY

At last we're done with Agent of Gloom Spite! He was taken down by Xtreme Argent Adept, Captain Cosmic and Tempest, with Sky-Scraper observing.

Also, Wager Master fell to Xtreme Argent, Fugue State Parse, Ra and Super-Scientific Tachyon. He was defeated via Sucker Punch! :D

TakeWalker told me about this, so I decided to try it out by tackling PW Tempest's last entry: Spite.

Short story shorter, using PW Tempest, Legacy, F6 Tachyon, H2H Ra, and PW Fanatic, I played 2 Take Downs with Legacy and decimated Spite in 3 rounds. The poor guy didn't stand a chance.

Welcome aboard!!!

Hooray, you found it! :D

Glad to have you, TheDoc!
