Not mine, just a watcher. Just started up yesterday, also on Twitch. Haven’t seen one of these (in English, anyway) for a while so I thought it was worth mentioning. I find APs to be good background noise motivation for when I’m working on a game.

Is there a distinction between an Actual Play and a Let’s Play?
Not that I know of. I believe both terms are synonymous.
I thought a Let’s Play was a walk-through of a video game, where an Actual Play is specifically folks playing TTRPGs? ![]()
Maybe? That does seem the more common usage, but it isn’t 100% consistent. I’ve seen TTRPG let’s plays, and e-game playthroughs called actual plays.
Nobody enforcing the rules, if there even are any.
That’s because no visionary leader with the mighty strength of an indomitable conquering spirit has yet stepped forward to seize command of the tragically flailing YouTube gaming video community, rule it with an iron fist, and forge it into a mighty empire which crushes and consumes all other, weaker world powers!!!
FWIW, episodes 5 and 6 dropped earlier today. The Chairman is still dead/missing, the gang war in Rook City is going strong, and our heroes are caught up in the mess. I think issue 6 wraps things up but haven’t listened to it yet, so there may be more to come. Or not.
EDIT: Nope, session 6 leaves things hanging and they apparently plan another Collection worth of play after a break for another system. Hopefully their system mastery improves some by then. They spent 12+ hours playing on-mike and had a less firm grasp on things than some first-timers I’ve run 3-hour demos for.
Is it weird that this is the third supers game I’ve watched/played in this year featuring a hero named Camazotz? Who knew Mayan bat gods were so trendy? It’s probably Bruce Wayne’s fault somehow.
I refuse to blame Kirk Langstrom, he takes the heat for this sort of thing way too often already.
