Since I wasnt here for WotC I am wondering how Villians is doing.
I know WotC sold like 4998 Copies, and so far Villians is up to 759 on the 2nd day
With 2 and 1/2 months to go, Does anyone think that they will break 5000 copies??
I don't think it will come close to WotC, mainly because of 1) price being higher and 2) a certain segment of the SotM fanbase who does not care for the Vengeance format. That being said, I would expect it would easily clear 3500 (and I could be way off) which I would assume would make it very successful considering the profit margin GTG makes from selling it directly from their store is much higher than any other sales
It would be really cool if we could turn this into a game, like "The price is right" If GTG would offer add a Promo card to the shipping of the winner.
Rules like:
1.You have to have a pre order
2.Only one guess per screan name
3.Only first posted guess counts, if someone else posts the same guess after they will have to edit it.
4. Like price is right winner is determined by closest to the number without going over.
5. GTG gets to pick what promo they will give to the winner
6. etc.... what everelse would be fair
I think it would be fun and raise some awareness for the preorder
So if I had to guess I bet on GTG growing more and would presale 5101 Villian sets
It matters a lot if we are talking just Villains, or the entire pre-order. Unit wise they are selling a lot more stuff with this pre-order than they did WotC
Also with no new heroes in the set, the people who don't like vengeance style have even less reason to purchase it. They will most likely just wait for release and purchase the 2 environment decks separately. I personally am just waiting to get my bills paid then I will jump on the band wagon since I missed the wotc preorder and still have no promo cards except ss tachyon. :(
Apparently I'm missing something obvious - how are folks seeing how many items have sold?

Dont feel bad I kept going to sentinelsofthemultiverse.com to wait for the counter. It took me a whole day to realize it was already up on their home page.
It will also depend on the promos. Once they announce those, I think we'll see an upsurge of folks biting at the new stuff.
