Primer on the Sentinels Tactics Timeline

In my household, we love SotM and have been enjoying reading up on the lore through the cards, bios, and forum theories.  However, we don't play any Sentinels Tactics and were wondering if anyone knows of a primer to help people who aren't familiar with Tactics understand the post-SotM timeline.

If you don't have Tactics, I can provide some footenotes of the important story information we know from Flame of Freedom and Uprising:

  • Tactics takes place about 5-10 years after SotM
  • Following the cataclysmic events that ended SotM, access to the various timestreams has been cut off for good.
  • There is a general distrust and backlash against superheros among the general population. Specific reason is yet unkown. But it is related to how the events at the end of SotM played out.
  • Due to the backlash, the US Governenment exerted more control on the Freedom 5 requiring a court order before they could legally act. In response, Mia Montgomery revealed her true identity as the Wraith publicly and leveraged her personal wealth in order to buy the Freedom Tower, build Tachyon a new lab, pay off the outstanding dept on Absolute Zero's cryo suit, and build a new Bunker suit. The Freedom 5 was now an independent entity.
  • Even with his dept paid off, Ryan Frost commited to stay with "his family" and continue to fight with the F5
  • Baron Blade returned with a new master plan to destroy the Freedom 5 Tower.
  • During Barons newest plan, a new Ra had returned to help after the original Ra (Blake Washington) vanished during the final events of SotM
  • Some time after, a broken Omnitron IV, after assimilating a vast amount of data gathered from the destroyed parts of Omnitron-X, made another move to regain all of his former glory. Now in his 5th form, Omnitron V plans to finish what Omnitron IV couldn't...the ultimate creation of the Omni-Reaper!
  • Dawn and her citizens have been waiting and biding time. Now that a new power source, the Oblivion Shards, has found its way to our world, Dawn and her citizens have begun striking out and launching offensives to secure these powerful artifacts.
  • There is another mysterious figure interested in collecting these Oblivion Shards as well. Enlisting the help of Ambuscade, Proletariat, and the Operative (who is now in the proccess of setting up her own version of the Organization in Megaopolis), this Mysterious figure is also in the hunt for Oblivion Shards.

Thats about it until we get the next part of the story and find out whats happening over in Broken City!

Also, Pauline Parsons, aka Young Legacy, branches out as a hero in her own right, calling herself Beacon.

The Visionary is still around, but now needs assistance to keep her focus and mind intact, apparently using a Rubik's cube telekinetically to maintain this focus.

Unity is still an intern of the FV. Her jokes haven't gotten better.

Thanks Foote & pwatson, that's exactly what I was looking for!

Some more:

Revo Corp seems to be a major Player, while not directly involved, the Citizens of the Sun steal the Shards from the Revo-Corp building, and they also have parts of Omnitron that Omni-V is after.

The Operative is back and running the organization.  She is heading into Megalopolis without the Chairman.

When the FV went independent Lt. Vance had to leave the military, and Ryan Frost is no longer working off his debt by fighting, he is free and the suit is his (gift of Wraith) and he fights voluntarily now.

I believe the stated time is actually about 10 years.

Because they are already the best!

As far as timelines, you're sort of both right. It's about 10 years of publishing time, which amounts to a nebulous few years in-universe time.

Thanks, Adam! You rock!

I'm really enjoying this resurgance of Adam posts lately!

They must have unchained him from his drawing board.

Well they have a graphic design person now.  Adam is probably cackling madly in his Art lair while he passes all his work off to the new underling.  And draws more art for his "Heroes getting Hotdogs" retrospective.

Yeah it is actually awesome to have Adam be able to spend more time on drawing and less on graphic design stuff.

There is no part of that sentence I didn't like.

I dislike the lack of a comma after “Yeah…”
