Prophetic Vision

We now know that it is IL on Prophetic Vision. What I don't understand is how is this "prophetic" or a "vision." If Visionary knows what will happen because she lived it, this wouldn't be called a "prophecy" or a "vision." The only thing I can think of is that she would might see Legacy doing something less than heroic (e.g. punching someone a little too hard) and get a flash of what he can become. If this is true, then the death of YL is not a "greatly traumatic event that completely overturns Legacy's current moral code" but rather the "straw that broke the camel's back." This could have great implications as to the nature of Legacy and his inner battles.

Of course there are probably better explanations, so bring them on!

Something I have learned is that the name of the card, the artwork, and Flavour Text doesn't always have to relate to eachother. The most obvious one I can think of is The Kraken, which shows Tamar being grappled by the Tentacle while the flavour text is Ra. Prophetic may not be her seeing into the future to see Iron Legacy, I almost feel like it is called that to give the players a vision of the future.

Of course, Visionary also has visions of many timelines she herself has no lived (by way of absorbing memories from her alternate-universe selves).  She fought alongside a group called the Freedom Six, but it may or may not have been in Iron Legacy's timeline - indeed, it hard to picture an apocalyptic cold war between the U.S. and Chine in a world which has been united into a single totalitarian state, as is implied in the IL future.

Ironic

Of course, she could be seeing what would happen should Iron Legacy find the first timeline, and therefore take it over, which would not be very good at all...

I think the point of that card and of the whole shattered timelines story is that by coming back to the past, Visionary has changed it so that one of multiple timelines is possible.  The only thing cannically sound is that Legacy is bound to die at the hands of Baron Blade story wise.  Heck, look at the Dreamer.  Due to Visionary's interference, the Dreamer was born.

I make a comparison to the recent Mortal Kombat game where Raiden has a vision of the future and believes certain outcomes will result due to certain events.  By trying to change the timeline, different heroes fall, old nemesis become allies, and everything changes.  Who knows what will happen due to Visionary's interference, but it may all be really bad down the road.
