Pushing the Limits, Imbued Fire, and Flesh of the Sun God

My cousin and I had a marathon gaming session today.  We owned Plague Rat in Pike Industrial Complex, lost to Dreamer twice, schooled La Capitan in the Final Wasteland, and our last game we absolutely drubbed Kismet in the Tomb of Anubis.  The last two games we played were pretty darn close to perfect.

My question is about the game against Kismet:

Tachyon played Pushing the Limits.  Ra had out Imbued Fire and activated the power on Flesh of the Sun God.  When Tachyon's turn comes back around again she tries to deal herself 3 fire damage, but she's immune.  Does that mean that as long as that combo is out she can keep Pushing the Limits out indefinitely with no drawback or should I have destroyed it because she did not deal herself damage.

I played it that Tachyon got to keep Pushing the Limits out and, as it was Team Leader Tachyon, things got ugly for Kismet very fast (no pun intended).  I think the wording on Pushing the Limits is the same as the wording on Solar Flare and Ra's solo combo is known to work, so I think we played it correctly.

True or false?

And if Ra wanted to use another power on a turn, you could just have TLT's "redirect 3+" card out to redirect the damage she'd deal herself.

Edit: because really, at that point, TLT probably has her entire deck in her hand :)

It works the same with Embolden, too, if Fanatic has played that on someone. Or any other card which requires someone to hit themselves, provided it doesn't say "if you took damage this way..." (eg Polyphoric Flare) because then your hp have to have gone down for the effect to occur. Also, Ab'Zero has obvious issues with Imbued Fire being in play...but if it isn't, he'll usually appreciate a nuke from Ra, provided he's got the right gear out ;).

Yes I was just about to say that!  Ra loves to have these effects when he has imbue fire out.
