Question about Bunker's Turret Mode

Heyo!

Playing through the Starter Kit with some friends, and I had a question about Bunker's Turret Mode, specifically BUDDABUDDABUDDABUDDA:

How does it interact with his other abilities?

Does it buff each one of Bunker's grenades in his grenade launcher?

Does it make Omni-Cannon double up on dice?

Or is it only meant to be used with normal attacks? If so, is the benefit of it that it technically hits a bit harder than a Grenade Launcher would to a single target?

My players couldn't really figure out what the major benefit was, so they ended up not using Turret Mode.

I think they meant to say "Whenever you use the Attack basic action," because you're right, it doesn't make any sense as written when you use Grenade Launcher or Omni-Blast.  But then if that's the case, I don't know why it's an Inherent ability when it could just be an Active one.  So good question!

It's a mistake (we're compiling errata to release later) and should be an Action. It hits a single target harder than Grenade Launcher and doesn't backfire like Grenade Launcher can (for example, it's safer to fire in a populated area, like in certain fights in Megalopolis...)
