Question of the Day!

Damnit! How am I meant to mis-answer this when you don't give me an either/or option.

I guess murder/detective/crime/whatever-they-are-calling-it-this-week, particularly stories where you can put it together yourself as the protagonist goes along solving it.

I would probably call that mystery.

I’m primarily a SFF reader myself.

Science Fiction and Fantasy.

Fantasy! :D

New day, new question!

Day or night?

Games with apps that are required as part of their gameplay, brilliant way to keep the game from being the same every time or pointless add on that makes the game exclusive for people with e.g. iPhones?

Ha!

QotD

Matchstickman's question or Pydro's question?

Yours. I will save mine for another day (or night).

My favorite books are old (1950-1970ish) scifi. I own about 300 books that are older than I am.
I am a day person against my will due to children and work. I loved being a night owl.
I’m fine with companion apps if they’re not required. Some of my gaming companions are too young to have the necessary electronics.

More questions or let this thread lie fallow?

Fallow (it’s hard coming up with questions).

okay then...

QotD: Which Pokemon gen. is the best and why? (Hint: Answer is gen 4)

3

Kay. Why?

You thought I would rage, didn't you?

Just my personal favorite, though I'm always torn between that and gen. 1 because I was the right age for gen. 1 when it hit.  My sister is the biggest Pokemon fan I know and she was the right age for gen. 3 when that hit so that probably has a lot to do with it. Gen. 4 definitely brought a lot of great stuff too but by the time it came out I was losing interest.

Also, yeah I went with the 1 character answer as a friendly joke.

I think most people who played have a prefferance to the gen that was current at the time that they were in the 9-13 age range, since I think that's the big target audience for the actual games. Of course, there are exceptions. I quite like Pokemon Black/White, and I was way past target audience range by then.

For my big favorite, that would be Gen 2. There were plenty of pokemon where you could catch most of the current pokedex without too greatly relying on another game, and there wasn't an obsene number of pokemon just yet.

I have always been too old to be the target age range for any generation (currently 37, so I was 16-ish when Red/Blue released).

I played up to Diamond/Pearl and I love me some Pokemon Go but I don't have a favourite generation. Favourite Pokemon, yep. But every generation has at least a couple of mons that I think are ridiculous and stupid so I can't say any gen is better than the others.

Gotta be Gen 1 for me. I am one of the purists that got into it at the beggining, found gen 2 facinating and then quickly got annoyed with how fast other mon came out and wanted them to get off my lawn.

Ha. So....if noone else is asking, I guess I'll ask another one.

You and your friends are the Ennead of Heliopolis. Based on personality and such, which member are you?

Tefnut, since I am always picked last.
