Question with regards to Citizen Summer v.s. The Sentinels

Just a quick question.... This occured in a game we played earlier and would like some clarification if possible...

It was 4 players (Legacy, Unity, Bunker, The Sentinels). Legacy had 4 cards in play. I was playing The Sentinels who had about 8 cards in play. Unity and Bunker had about 3 i think (but definitely less than Legacy).

Then Citizen Dawn drew this card.

Citizen Summer: At the end of the villain turn, this card deals the 2 heroes with the most cards in play 3 fire damage each.

So how does the damage work in this case? Is it...

1) All 4 members of The Sentinels take 3 damage, then Legacy takes 3 damage.

2) Two members of The Sentinels take 3 damage. No one else takes any damage.

3) I get to choose one member of The Sentinels to take 3 damage. Legacy takes 3 damage.

I'm not exactly sure what the ruling would be in this case, but we went with option 3 after some debate on rule interpretation.

Option 3 is what I go with, though nothing officially confirmed.

I would go with option 3.  It's similar to Infection in that they can only have one Infection attached to them and you get to choose which one gets damage.  So in this case The Sentinels have the most cards in play followed by Legacy in this scenario so they are the targets of the damage.

Option 3 is my vote as well.

My vote, too! *grin*

I...

Well, I was going to be a smart![](upload://8lsuNMliXY7QqEjPgSOXGINd01b.gif) and disagree, but now that'd just be stupid.

-er.

I vote option 3a.

After dealing damage they all go out for Ice Cream

Definitely option three - the Sentinels are one hero but multiple hero targets. If something affects a hero and they're an applicable target (as in your case with Summer), only one of the individual Sentinels receives the effect.

Mind you, Christopher has already agreed so I think any post after that is pretty moot…but I wanted to say something anyway ;).
