Regular Indianapolis Meetups

I am fine with this. As of right now, it's looking like I'll be downtown for work anyway, but an evening at home with a cup of coffee is just fine.

Not that I look forward to missing a day of work, but it makes little to no sense for companies that service the public to stay open when the mayor closes the city down. It is dangerous for employees and a bad investment. But I really was hoping to try out some Dark Watch.

Well, I knew yesterday this time that I'd be off work today. No email or call yet about tomorrow. Anyway, I'm not worried. 4WD and someone who can drop me off at the front door.

Cancelation noted. Since I have other commitments on the intervening Tuesdays, I won't see you next week, but hopefully the week after.

If nobody else will show, then I guess I’ll pass as well. Hopefully Nate will understand that I’ll pay him the $100 on Thursday instead. That is assuming he has the store open at all today.

Alright, Arsenal at 6 on Tuesday is on! Neither snow nor rain... aw, you guys get it. We may have to do two weeks in a row to catch up, but we will discuss it Tuesday. Hope to see you all there!

Well, I will probably be late tomorrow due to car troubles, but I promise to be there. Please make sure to bring an extra set so that people can play just in case.

Sorry for the late notice, but we are meeting once again on Tuesday night at Arsenal. Hopefully we will be on the regular schedule of once every two weeks from here on out, this will get us back on track. I hope to see you all there!

Looking forward to it.

I will be late tonight. Van still in the shop and I will have to go pick up my wife from work after I get off of work. If we could have a few people bring games, that would be much appreciated. I will get there as soon as I can.

I may try to come in myself this week, but probably not till about 6:30 unless I happen to get off work early.

I'm not sure how attendance is going to be, given the weather. I'll be there, but I probably wouldn't be if I weren't already downtown for work.

Due to poor time management on my part, I'll not be there cause I need a nap.  So don't be waitin for me or nothin.'

On the plus side, I finally beat Assassin's Creed 1.

Eleven people at Arsenal tonight. And they had a new brisket sandwhich which was absolutely delicious, if a bit on the small side.

TheJayMann has a new job folks. I am very impressed at the position he got and he seems delighted with it. Kudos to you, Jeff. Also kudos to you for organizing a few people to share transport to STL for the upcoming Vengeance release party.

Koga showed up and brought with him not only printed decks of the final proofs from the Vengeance playtester forum and printed decks of his own custom heroes, etc., but a whole slew of custom decks from a particular person (don't know the handle/name) on BGG. My table had a great game (a win!) against the Matriarch and then elected to try out these custom decks and had a lot of fun with the mystery of just what the heck would turn up. Are they well-balanced? Dunno. Just played with them once, but it was fun, despite losing.

AND, the decks were absolutely beautiful -- both Koga's and the ones from BGG. They looked very much in the same style as Adam's art and Koga spent the time and the money to print them on very nice cards. He even made up custom dividers. At a glance, for instance, with the Vengenace decks mixed into his game boxes with all the other decks, it looked like he'd somehow gotten an early version rather than printing it himself.

There were a couple of people there I hadn't met before and still didn't meet, friends of imprimis5. Looking forward to sharing a table with you all at some point in the future.

And I did not ride my bike. Sadly, I am becoming a sloth. I let the single digit temps and likelihood of snow and ice on the road dissuade me. Next time, maybe.

Not sure if/when I'll be able to make any of these games, I live in Noblesville and have two young boys so it's tough for me to leave before they're in bed at 9pm. But I wanted to drop in and say hi anyway.  :slightly_smiling_face:

When is good for you?

How late do the Arsenal games run? I was looking at the map and figured I could get down there by 10 assuming the blizzards ever let up.

Once upon a time, they could run late. As I am a working stiff with stupid adult hours these days, I can't stay much past nine. So I don't know what happens then.

We generally are in games until a little after 10, but many hang out around there until later. The Comic Carnival meetup on the northside is every second Sunday, (I believe). We would love to see you if you have the oppertunity to come down for a game, and TheJayMann is usually around there a few other days in some capacity...

Sounds like I'd get to Arsenal just about when everything's winding down, which is kind of what I figured. I didn't realize there was a Comic Carnival on the northside, I'll keep an eye out for the next meetup date.
