Relic Spirit Question

Apostate's Relic Spirit card states: "When this card is destroyed, move (H) minus 1 Relic cards from the Villain trash into play."

Other cards that pull from the villain trash, like Return with the Dawn or TCF Stalwart, usually have some sort of instructions about shuffling the trash and revealing cards from the top. Relic Spirit doesn't have this though, so how do you determine which relics come out? During a game last night we ruled that since the card didn't specify, the players choose which relics to put into play. Is that a correct interpretation?

If there are more than H relics you get to choose which ones come into play.    If there are H or less relics they all come into play.  You get to choose the order they come back into play too.
