Roll20 Character Sheets!

My Sentinel Comics: RPG character sheets for Roll20 are complete!!!

Now we can all play on Roll20. I made them very quickly and they are my first sheets I have coded on Roll20 so they aren't like AMAZING! But they work and you can make your own Heroes by what ever rules you see fit, and also I manually inputted and created a sheet for each of the Pre-gens (Legacy, The Wraith, Tachyon, Bunker, AZ, and Unity). If you want I can share the sheets with you on Roll20 or just wait until the Public Sheet Commit from Roll20 (whenever they publish community sheets for the public).

looks good, I am Ok with playing a game over roll 20

The sheet is now in the list of community sheets available! When you create a game you can choose which character sheet is used. Just search “Sentinel Comics” and select the sheet and it will work for you! You can fill them out however you like. I am always looking for feedback so if anyone has any suggestions I’d be happy to hear them!

Hey, now that I'm looking at the sheets up close, I noticed you forgot to include Background and seem to have misnamed Power Source as "Origin". Is there any way to make changes to a sheet after it's been published?

Oh yes! Most definitely. I was honestly super focused on a lot different elements I am sure there is a plentiful amount of tweaks to be made! Those are now added to the list of things to update.

I’ll make a text area at the bottom for a nice big background section. Maybe even a notes section next to it.

I can update the files but they will not be updated until Roll20 gets to their (usually) weekly GitHub pull request approval!

Cool! In that case, here's a couple more nitpicks:

• The health ranges should show the max to the left of the min.

• Each principal should have three fields: One for during role-playing, one for minor twist, and one for major twist.

I don't think that the principles are actually supposed to be broken down into 3 categories. I am pretty sure that they included the three subsections as a reminder. I don't think there is a mechanical need to list the RP, Minor Twist, Major Twist in different sections. If after the release of the book and the official charcter sheet there is a more definitive answer to this question I will change the sheet then. Especially since the RP will not always be the same (it is up to the player to RP the principle), the minor twist might not always make sense (it's up to the GM + Player to make an appropriate one), and the major twist might not always make sense (see minor twist).

Listing all the possible things to do while Roleplaying, all the possible Minor Twists, and all the possible Major Twists would be excessive. I just wanted to justify my decision to not split or modify the Principles section in that way so that you don't feel like I didn't listen to your suggestion. Flipping the HP ranges is just going along with the convention setup on the pre-made sheets, changing "Origin" to "Power Source" goes along with the pre-mades, and adding a "Background" section.

I will certainly be changing and updating the sheet when the official character creation rules, the CRB, and the actual game is released. That way we know exactly how the information should be layed out, which aspects of the character sheet are mechanically relevant, and more.

Major and Minor twist are questions to help make up a problem. This should no way be a thing that happens all the time.

The three section are there for Clarity, as longs as the Roll20 stuff is clear then it should be fine.

Oh, something else I noticed from actually using it: There should be a way to select status die instead of it just being determined by hp, because scene trackers are a thing.

Currently working on the changes requested by VGBM on the chosing to override Status die with the status of the scene. I had put this sheet on the back-burner since the KS was delayed until Jan 2019. With it being Jan 2019. I am back in the lab working on the sheet. So any suggestions on functionality will again be welcomed as I delve into my code to see what I can churn up again!

Still excited for the RPG? Me too!

--Currently waiting on Git Pull request approval to test the scene status selection mechanic on the sheet. Could I get a little clarification. When the Scene is in the Red Status and the Player is in the Green does this let the player choose between using either their Green Status Die or Their Red Status Die? Or do the players share the status with the scene?--

Hey, nice to see you again!

Someone correct me if I'm misremembering, but I'm pretty certain the rule is that you always use the die of the "furthest" status between your health and the scene. So if the scene is in red status and your health is in the green, then you have to use the red status die. And if the scene tracker is in the green and your health is in the yellow, then you use the yellow status die. And obviously, you can't use any status die if you or the scene is "out".

Same goes with abilities. Except you do have an out ability, which technically only applies to your health since you wouldn't have a chance to do anything when the scene tracker runs out.

I've been playing around with the sheet and I really like it. Is there an easy way to use Min or Max? If not that would be a nice feature to roll into the sheet for making simple rolls. Other than that I love it.

The character sheet is really easy to use, but I'm wondering how others are handling a character with modes like Bunker. Do you just create multiple abilities?

I made a Handout for Unity for her Auxiliary Sheet (placing it below her character sheet) and will probably do similar for Bunker. I may use colored highligher on the letters to indicate the Zones in each of the grids. If you want, when I finish I'll share my creation on here. Unity was pretty easy to do but Bunker is gonna be fun! I have everyone else input into Roll20 in the starter kit (except for their back page stories which I'll add later).

Great work. Looking forward to figuring out some Macros off of this. Something like a Scene Tracker Macro that when escalating, grabs all tokens and moves them from green to yellow then to red, if they aren't already at a higher state.

I'm trying to figure out some design sense for some custom non-sentinels sheets as well. What tools did you use to set yours up? did you modify from a template? use an editor tool? or hand type all the html and js yourself?

I'm working on a new version of the character sheet, and started a discussion for it.
