This forum is for discussing original character ideas for the Greater Than Games Villain Creation Contest. As such, by participating in the "Create a Villain contest” or posting in this forum, you hereby agree to accept and be bound by all of to these rules. Therefore, please read these rules prior to entry to ensure you understand and agree.
Any entries submitted as part of this "Create a Villain contest," or otherwise sent to Greater Than Games, LLC (“GTG”), become the sole property of and are, by submission of the entry, fully, perpetually, exclusively, and irrevocably assigned to GTG. Should your entry be chosen, you agree to provide friendly assistance and execute any and all assignments of the entry deemed necessary or desirable by GTG. The winning entry, as chosen by GTG in its sole discretion, will be included in the upcoming Sentinels of the Multiverse expansion, and you will be credited in the upcoming expansion rulebook for the villain concept, but minor or major changes may be made to the villain and their cards/mechanics to make them fit with the vision of the GTG team. You may be contacted about said changes, but shall not have any approval rights over any changes. DO NOT STEAL OTHER PEOPLE'S WORK! Your entry must be, and you hereby represent and warrant that the entry is, entirely original, unpublished, not slanderous, solely owned and created by you, does not infringe on other people’s work, and otherwise is permitted under applicable federal, state, and local law and regulations. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold GTG and its members, managers, and agents harmless from and against any and all liabilities, damages, losses, judgments, fines, demands, claims, recoveries, penalties, actions, suits, causes of action, settlement amounts and costs, attorneys’ fees, court costs, deficiencies, other costs, and expenses, regardless of whether litigation is commenced, in any way arising out of or related to GTG’s use of the entry, as it may be revised or altered from time to time. You further acknowledge that one or more entrants may submit ideas or other materials that contain the same or similar ideas or other materials to your entry and that GTG may be working on or pursuing the same or similar idea, materials, or other items at the time of your submission. You understand that GTG may continue to develop its own idea, materials, or other items independent of your submission without acknowledging your contribution. You hereby waive any and all claims you may have had, may have, and/or may have in the future, that the chosen entry or any other work of GTG or its designees may be similar to yours. By entering the "Create a Villain contest”, you agree to participate in any media or promotional activity resulting from the contest as reasonably requested by GTG at GTG’s expense and agree and consent to use of their name and/or likeness by GTG. GTG is not responsible for any malfunction of the email submission system, any contest communications, or any late, lost, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, undeliverable, or destroyed entries due to system errors, failed, incomplete or altered computer or other telecommunication transmission malfunctions, hardware or software failures of any kind, or for any other reason. Under no circumstances shall the submission of a entry into the "Create a Villain contest,” the awarding of a prize, or anything in these rules be construed as an offer or contract of employment or create a joint venture or partnership with GTG. You hereby acknowledge that you have submitted your entry voluntarily and not in confidence or in trust. These rules shall be governed by, subject to, and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Missouri, United States of America, excluding all conflict of law rules. If any provision(s) of these rules are held to be invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions hereof will remain in full force and effect. To the extent permitted by law, the rights to litigate, seek injunctive relief or make any other recourse to judicial or any other procedure in case of disputes or claims resulting from or in connection with this "Create a Villain contest” are hereby excluded, and you hereby expressly waive any and all such rights. To the extent not waived, each party hereby submits and consents to the jurisdiction of any local or state courts located in St. Louis County, Missouri, and the federal court located in the Eastern District of Missouri, Eastern Division, for the purpose of all litigation involving the submitted entry, this contest, or these rules and hereby mutually relinquish all rights to a trial by jury.
