I almost called in sick from work just so I could keep refreshing the G>G Kickstarter profile page. Their twitter comments sure weren't convincing me that I'd have enough time to drive to work first.
I'm asking about the miniatures for the extra characters, not just the characters themselves. At once point it seems to imply that they'll be free if you back early, but at another point, it seems to say that it'll be extra regardless, so I figure I'm misreading it at one point or the other.
The promos are free, yes. But the miniatures for the promos will not be free.
Already 66% funded! I'm pretty excited for this, and I basically never play competitive games.

A lot of the Europeans are justifiably staying away from backing because it's not reasonable for them to pay shipping for the full box. It seems like there should be a pledge level for non-American fans that would let them just get the promos and bonus character cards. GtG would only have to pay postal rates so hopefully the shipping costs wouldn't be insane and the non-Americans could still participate and get some of the goods. Obviously, the miniatures would be excluded from the rewards at that pledge level, but the non-Americans could eventually buy them at the store.
Not quite. That's what would have happened, but you know something's been messing with the multiverse/timelines. We don't know how things shape up…
As Christopher said in the video this is after the main sentinels storyline, since the story isn’t over yet clearly he got better.
Any time travelers out there want to inform us how much the kickstarter will rake in and what kind of sweet stretch goals are to come?
I see a vision of the future… it's a number! With some cryptic symbol in front of it, made up of a line segment and a curve… And words! I see words, words everywhere! Mostly on cards and such though.
Apropos of nothing, I was highly amused to see a helm and shield on the shelves that looked like they got some regular SCA use.
And now I need to see which of my friends I can bribe to paint miniatures since they'll look far far better done that way than if I tried to paint them myself.
We are up to almost 40k in less than 6 hours. I say we fully fund by the end of the day.
At this point, "fully fund by the end of the day" seems rather pessimistic. I'll be surprised if the current stretch goals aren't broken by then.
I think we'll break one stretch goal, and get halfway to the next by the end of the 24 hour period.
That being said, I always guess low.
Totally agree. I'm only saying the project may be funded in less than 8 hours. Everything else is gravy.

I do love that the minis are being made and available, but I can't justify $30 for 9 figures, more for any additional stretch characters. So I'm very happy they made those a separate option. I'd love to have them if I could, but I appreciate they are mindful of tight budgets for the rest of us.
Can't wait to hear some storyline. I'd love if one of those new characters to unlock turns out to be a new character that then later shows up in a SotM expansion. That would be a fun reveal.
