So, I had decided to try doing some comparing to figure out if Blake Washington got really dark or if there is a new Ra! I have came to the conclusion for 100% that it is a new Ra. How do I know this? This new Ra has both nipples, that's how.
I guess Blake Washington still has both nipples…
While that is infallible logic, it makes me sad. I liked Dr. Blake Washington.
Will be backing later today. That said - here's to hoping that >G puts an announcement here on the forums soon. Not so much for our benefit, but so we can get rid of that depressing User Ban announcement off the top of feed.
Note - I sent >G an email agreeing with the ban. It's done, it's depressing. Can we have the exiting, happy announcment, pro forma, please?
Perhaps Dr. Washington got cloned, etc....
I see nothing about Ra's nipple in there.
I can tell you that, if you're in Adam's presence, don't talk about a missing nipple.
It can get bloody.
You might actually survive, but I wouldn't bet on it.
He was an adventurer once, until he took an ancient Egyptian deity to the nipple.
Less that 1K away! Keep refreshing! We're almost there!
Well, they have 29 days to go and less than 4% of their funding goal yet to be met. Somehow, I think they'll manage to pull this one off.
So Ra is black Nubian now, eh? (To be clear, I have absolutely no problem with this, I just think it's interesting that the mantle of Ra-ness got passed, given that we already had something similar happen with Bunker.)
And Omnitron is on his fifth version. I like that. Presumably the first four versions are regular Advanced, Cosmic, and Advanced Cosmic.
Who exactly are these people who've been waiting with bated breath for miniatures of the Sentinels characters? What exactly do you need them for? (Again, I'm not trying to sound accusatory or anything, it's just legitimate curiosity why you think that SOTM, which was previously nothing other than a card game, would require miniatures. It's not like BAHOTH or Arkham Horror where you're forced to use chits instead; SOTM has no board or anything to put the minis on.)
I hope that isn't the case; I'm hoping that Cosmic Omnitron is Omnitron II, and that the Advanced versions don't count as separate versions. This means we could get up to three more alternates for Multiverse.
I think a game like this absolutely deserves miniatures. I wouldn't have paid for minis for the card game--they'd serve no purpose. But here, the desire to have them is much more understandable--It clearly sets apart your character from all of the other tiles on the map.
I posted the link but forgot to type the context hahaha. My bad.
Is it possible he just got really tan? It is pretty sunny over in Egypt…or the underworld. Whichever.
Annnnnnnnnnd
Finish line. Time!
We still have 6, 7, 8, and 9 to look forward to; I don't think we really need a separate 3 and 4, and if Christopher came out and endorsed your statement, I'd start going nuts wondering what 3 and 4 were like and why we didn't know about them. Already I'm curious enough about how X came about, what events of the intervening aeons convinced OT that he needed to become small and bipedal, instead of remaining a huge hulking insectoid.
Perhaps eventually >G can start making their games available to 3D "print"? Then you could have local printers manufacture things, so there'd be no need to ship them across oceans in cargo containers. It'd have to be done in fairly high volume to make costs manageable, of course; I'm jut throwing ideas out there, not saying they'll necessarily work.
I've backed for the full game despite living in the UK… I may not be the most financially responsible person.
I'm hoping more stuff gets added through stretch goals so it won't be the case that I'm paying an extra 50% (+customs) on top of the price of the game just to get the box here. At least if I'm buying extra minis it'll make the proportion of he postage costs smaller…
Not particularly fussed about playing this one - PvP isn't really my thing, generally, but I'm happy to see it's made the funding goal already and everything :D. I'll certainly be keeping an eye on it so I can go "yay" every time a stretch goal is met. I might chip in a small pledge just because its >G but I have no intention of actually getting the game myself, just because it's not my sort of thing.
Haven't watched the video yet - might do that later :).
Yes, Ameena, you must watch the video! It is great, on many levels.
Oh yes, please Ameena, watch the video.
I would have backed the kickstarter anyhow, maybe because I am a loyal GTG minion, or maybe because I actually believe it is a seriously great game. But watching this video is ultimatly what made me run for my credit card. No kidding, I am an international backer, but I feel that the video has sufficiently reimbursed me for the shipping cost.
