hey folks with the new of the final expansion I thought that there should be a main thread for everything that has to do with this final wave before the end . This thread I hope this time will be active since it a good idea to keep everything on one thread so it eaiser to access and find . So the point of this thread will be for clues , theroys , speculation and pretty everything else that has to do with the final part of the story this include heroes , villians , enviroments , character art and flavor text .

With the final expansion picture we get a better look at the main villian of the story so with that we have to ask who is this final villain , what do they want , how did they come to be , will they have help , ect
I think what the villain wants is to destroy all existence, at least that was said in the Scion's Aid page (IIRC). There was also that whole thing with Deadline coming to destroy Earth to prevent the end of all things.
As far as help goes, there's scions. Not entirely sure what scions are, yet.
I think the reason he chooses nowto end everything is because he realized that the amount of, and the cumulative power of, the super-powered beings on earth had nearly begun to rival his own power. And thus he would eventually be less and less all-powerful in relation to the rest of the cosmos as time went on. So he plans to destroy everything and start things over again. He commanded Progeny to weaken earth's heroes, and soften them up in preparation for his arrival. What he didn't expect was for the various superpowered beings of earth to decode his signal to and from Progeny. This, in addition to a rebellious Scion sharing information with the heroes of earth, led to them realizing that the only way they stand a chance is if they drastically increase their power-base.
Thus, Nightmist opens a portal to... EVERY universe in the multiverse, pulling through multiple versions of themselves, increasing the relative strength of their side exponentially.
This also explains why Deadline wanted to destroy everything on earth. No more life on earth means no more consolidated power-base that could rival OblivAeon's own. And thus He wouldn't choose to destroy everything... yet...
I assumed progeny was not only there to weaken the heros up, but also as a way to measure their strength. After all, if it was just to weaken them up, the head wouldn't have detached and flown off. I like to think of the head as a messenger capsule of sorts
Deadline was trying to destroy weak points on Earth in order to save the people of Earth, so they wouldn't die like his people did.
Chokepoint goes through similar changes when she merges with his tech.
When they fight Progeny they pull even more at the timelines that already were messed up.
I think that events on Earth are destabilizing the fabric of reality, and Oblivaeon is coming to fix the problem.
We are the rats that chewed through a power cord and shorted out the fuses. The maintenance guy wakes up, finds a mess and tries to clean it up only to have the rats gang up and call their friends who chew through the freaking walls to chase him out.
Now the Land lord is coming over to exterminate the problem.
Re-posting this over here. There is so much going on in my head I'd love to start talking about, but I'm being called away for a movie with my parents.
think I need to head over to the comics world page, but here's an interesting thought based off scions being people who we've seen before.
Oblivaeon has the Aeon men, who look like robots, and he found his scions and offered them "collars". Then there is the idea of him destroying and then potentially reforming everything. What if this is all about control? What if the idea of "divine dominance" is at play here, the idea of a god like being who needs absolute control and authority over all things.
The heroes and the villains of the muliverse are getting too powerful though, threatening not the being directly, but it's idea of its own control. They can defy it and that is unacceptable and they must die. That makes Ra's blow even more insulting. They not only defy it, but actually injured it!
And we have villains that play into that trope.
Voss used his sciece to genetically engineer soldiers he controlled. Dawn brings people back from the dead to continue to serve her, they can't die without her permission. Chokepoint controls and manipulates the world around her. The Matriarch controls birds andif the Tactics info is remebered correctly the minds of others, and the Mask according to one of the new stories, is trying to control the Matriarch. Kismet controls fate and luck, to an extent. Kaagra has the Bloodsworn Gladiators who serve her, bound to the Colusseum.
Of course, my recent literary course might be coloring my observations abit.
I have some points that I would like to talk about it so here it is :
I feel that any and all things that are cosmic the final villian has played / had a role in it is some way
The Celestial Tribunal and the final villian must be connected some who judgeing by the design - http://sotm.wdfiles.com/local--files/environment:the-celestial-tribunal/celestial_tribunal.jpg
the ship sword might be the final villians weaopon well it could be possible or was intended to be - http://sotm.wdfiles.com/local--files/environment:the-celestial-tribunal/celestial_tribunal.jpg
captain cosmic incap shows what it looks like the final villian making him a herald - http://sotm.wdfiles.com/local--files/heroes:captain-cosmic/capcosback.jpg
like point 4 this mean that the villain could have more heralds like Galactra , she might be
Can anyone look through The Celestial Tribunal and tell me if I a on to something
It's possible OblivAeon and the Celestial Tribunal are tied together since the leader of it shows up in PW Captain Cosmic's incap. Good catch on seeing OblivAeon in the original Captain Cosmic incap as I certainly didn't think about that piece.
Could be, but the way he turns hero in the promo makes that feel kind of weird. Also, every time we see him, its associated with green energy, and while that could certainly be changed, it seems weird to me.
I could totally see it being Voss, as some folks have said.
My big suspect is Visionary. She keeps being squirrely about Progeny, We've seen her use that pink energy before, and her body is currently being occupied by Dark visionary (at least during progeny's fight), but we see her back in her original costume on Cerebral Hermorrage, where she is specifically fighting the Aeon men. We also know that (dark) visionary is pretty capable of being snide and contemptuous, and regular visionary occasionally comes off as being distant. I could see a Scion empowered version having the worst qualities of both.
