Sotm campaign one

Hey folks Im new to the forums. I first got Sotm a few months ago and several expansions later and more money gone than I care to think about Ive gotten the EE,Rook City, and shattered timlines as well as the mini-expansions heroes and villains. I've always enjoyed reading the campaign narratives that folks put up about their games and thought I'd throw my own attempt to the mix. I've basically created two teams of heroes from those that I have and am alternating them in games against the villains.  The Goal: defeat the villains before they defeat you. Each villain defeated will be considered in jail and removed from the rotation. If a villain has multiple different cards (i.e. Vanilla Baron and mad bomber) the villain can escape and menace the heroes in another form.  If a heroe is defeated they are considered out for the campaign.

Below will be a list of all participating heroes, villain, and environments. I'll update them as I acquire the remaining expansion sets. I apologize for any formatting/spelling errors, as I try to make this as engaging and entertaining as I can. I've thrown in a little bit of flair and added dialogue just when it seemed to fit.

Things start with a boom as Citizen Dawn begins her invasion of Megalopolis. Luckily for the citizens Mr. Fixer, Haka, Visionary, Expatriette, Tempest stand to defend them.

Villain Turn 1:

Citizen Dawn begins the fight with Citizens Sweat, Blood, Summer, and Spring alongside her. Citizen Blood, bolstered by the presence of his partner, Citizen Sweat, quickly engages all the heroes attacking sharply with his cane. Citizen Summer sends jets of flame at Mister Fixer and Haka while Citizen Spring stays back looking to heal any of her fellows that may be wounded in the coming fight. Dawn herself launches a luminescent bolt at the mighty Haka.

Heroes turn 1:

Mr. Fixer starts the counter attack. Equipping a jack handle he leaps into the fray striking all the citizens around him.

Haka quickly follows suit. Chanting the Haka of Battle, he is able to quickly dispatch Citizen Summer. Apparent the immortal warrior never heard that saying about not hitting girls.

The Visionary the unleashes a psychic maelstrom, inflicting agony upon the minds of the would-be invaders.

Expatriette begins laying down suppressing fire with her assault rifle, eliminating Blood and Sweat, as well as inflicting a light wound onto Dawn herself.

The skies of Megalopolis darken as M’kk Dall’ton calls upon the power from which he takes is earth name. He summons a hail storm to pelt the oncoming army and halt their advance.

Environment Turn 1:

Seeing the resistance of the heroes of Megalopolis meeting them in a much more organized an mighty manner. Dawn orders a detachment of her soldiers to start taking hostages from among the fleeing civilians to distract her foes while she regroups.

Villain Turn 2:

Citizen Dawn apparently finding herself removed from the majority of her forces spends her time with Citizen spring healing herself of the wounds that she has taken. She does however find an opportunity to strike out at her troublesome dissapointment of a daughter and looses a bolt of searing light directly at Expatriette, halting the stream of steady fire from Amanda Cohen.

Heroes Turn 2:

Mr. Fixer, mindful of the safety of the hostages manages to engage the villains an harry Citizen Dawn and Spring with his Jack Handle.

The Immortal Haka follows Mr Fixer’s lead, striking mightily at Spring. What is it with the big guy and menacing small girls.

Expatriette decides that the smart thing to do when taking fire from Dawn would be to find cover and does so while getting her weapons reloaded and waiting for a change in the status quo. She does manage to find a chance for return fire at her  mother dearest, loosing a stream of bullets at Dawn’s position.

Tempest continues his barrage of hail onto the invaders, keeping them from gaining to much more momentum.

Environment Turn 2:

A combination of the heroes and the local militia are able to see the hostages to safety, but the chaos of the changing battlefield causes Tempest to cease his hailstorm to prevent any impending casualties

Villain Turn 3:

Dawn continues healing soothing the wounds of her warriors that can continue the battle, and fires on the giant samoan warrior.

Heroes Turn 3:

The old blind mechanic known only as Slim draws in a breath to focus and triggers his Overdrive state to lay assault on Citizens  Spring and Dawn.

Haka takes a defensive stance speaking the Haka of Restoration to heal his injuries suffered for the enemy leader. He then strikes again at Spring.

The Visionary continues her psionic assault, inflicting cerebral damage to Dawn’s forces.

Expatriette sees an opportunity to be rid a major headache. Loading Shock rounds into her Asault Rifle, she unleashes a barrage on to the Citizens of the Sun, neutralizing their healer but unfortunately only grazing her mother.

Tempest frowns at Expatriette’s display. “Electrical bullets are clear gimmick infringement!” , he calls to Expatriette.

“Blow it out your gills!”, Amanda responds. He could wait till after the current crisis to go into the matter. Electing instead to further continuing the assault on Dawn, he reaizes that his previous winter storms had altered weather patterns such that he coud summon a vicious cyclone. He does so and quicly sets it to attach to Citizen Dawn.

Environment Turn 3:

Just when our heroes seemed ready to press their advantage, A traffic pileup on the freeway as a result of the ongoing battle manages to hamper their advance.

Villain Turn 4:

Citizen Dawn, having had quite enough of the failure’s assault rifle, and the blows suffer by that damned fool of a mortal that dared attack her with automotive tools, unleashes the devastating power of her aurora destroying the heroes’ tools as well as the intervening cars. She then fired another beam at the oncoming heroes. The mighty Haka bravely stepped forward to take the brunt of the attack.

Heroes Turn 4:

Mr. Fixer leads the charge on Dawn with a series of punches and kicks, pummeling the enemy leader.

Haka gets slowed briefly from dawns attack. Taking the moment of Fixer’s assault to retrieve a taiaha from...somewhere, he follows his friends lead and beats Dawn about.

Visionary notices that the assault from her teams heavy-hitters has left Dawn’s mind unguarded and sets about burning away her attachments to several of her comrades, robbing her of the building fury of watching them fall in battle.

Expatriette.rushes to a nearby wrecked police vehicle and retrieves a tactical shotgun from the trunk. Loading and chambering a round she shouts “Clear!” signaling friends to get out of the way as she opens fire onto Dawn herself.

Citizen Dawn finds herself slowed by the ensuing barrage and is unable to avoid the abuse of the cyclone. Tempest then calls upon his willpower and calls down a lightning storm from the sky. “Now THAT’S how you use electricity!”

Environment Turn 4:

Seeing their leader being assaulted the Citizens of the Sun try again with the hostages to make the heroes hesitate.

Villain Turn 5:

Citizen Autumn rushes forward to help her mistress as Dawn fires a blast of power at Tempest.

Heroes Turn 5:

Mr. Fixer breaks off his attack on Dawn to engage Autumn. His attacks are formless and meant more to distract than damage.

Haka follows suit launching simultaneous attacks with his Taiaha on both Dawn and Autumn.

Visionary stays back. Wary of directly attacking and getting the hostages harmed she uses her telepathy to bolster Tempests willpower.

Expatriette takes calmly ejects the spent cartridge, chambers the next round, and fires at her hated mother.

Tempest keeps the cyclone/storm combination going on Dawn’s forces. This suppresses their ability to advance and he also calls forth a squall to take out Autumn.

Environment Turn 5:

The heroes manage to rescue the hostages, but just when things seem to be calming down a monorail plummets from the tracks, obviously having been damaged by from the ensuing battle.

Villain Turn 6:

With the assistance of Citizen Battery brought forth from the storm, Dawn begins her counter-attack with Battery taking on Expatriette and her sending another attack to the hulking brute with the stick.

Heroes Turn 6:

Mr. Fixer trusts that his more superhuman friends can handle the falling train and enters his monkey stance launching a barrage of attacks at Citizen Battery to assist Expatriette.

Haka starts chanting the Haka of Battle and smacks Dawn away from him and into the following monorail altering its path of descent away from the battle.

Visionary simultaneously works to telepathicaly damage the two enemy superhumans, bolster tempest who was starting to get tired maintaining so many weather patterns at once, and two calm to search for any injured passengers on the monorail that Dawn was just sent flying into to direct EMTs to where they could best help.

Expatriette reaches for her ammo belt and smirks as she see the incendiary shotgun slugs. Loading them into the shotgun, takes aim and fires in to the hole of the train where Citizen Dawn lay prone.

Tempest takes a break from his torrential onslaught to bestow a cleansing downpour to rejuvenate his allies.

Environment Turn 6:

With the current monorail situation averted, what should come up but yet another monorail.

Villain Turn 7:

Dawn’s face takes on a pale complexion as the skies darken and a solar eclipse covers the city. She then floats up from the wreckage and opens fire at Tempest sensing the opening in his weather attacks. Citizen Battery Breaks off from Fixer’s attacks to once again strike at Expatriette, hoping to punish her for the heinous attack on his liege.

Heroes Turn 7:

Stripping the hoist chain from a nearby tow truck Fixer strikes at Citizen Dawn. Wrapping it around her throat he wrenches her from the air.

Now that she was brought down the their level, Haka rushed forward and smashed Dawn into the plummeting monorail once more.

Visionary could see that the sudden eclipse brought on by Dawn was probably bad and telepathically countered and broke her link to that part of her power. Once more sunlight shone on the city.

Firing another batch of incendiary rounds into where Dawn had been launched, Expatriette tried to hit  her but wound up damaging the train more instead due to Battery knocking her shot wide. She did seem to hit some kind of braking mechanism to slow the trains decent though.

Tempest resumes his attacks using his a stray bolt of lightning to take out Battery and summons a wave of water from a the pipes beneath the pavement to guide monorail to a safe decent.

Environment Turn 7:

The heroes are momentarily distracted by the threat of some impending casualty’s from the crashing monorail but act swiftly to prevent them.

Villain Turn 8:

Dawn rises furious drenched and smelly for the train wreckage. (It turned out to be a sewage pipe that Tempest busted.) She then fires a hate-fueled blast at Haka for the indignity of being used as a glorified golfball.

Heroes Turn 8:

With bloody knuckles, Fixer wraps the hoist chain around his arms and proceeds to use it to club Dawn about interrupting her stream of vengeful threats.

Haka had tried to block the brunt and the angry woman’s energy blast with the taiaha, but the weapon unfortunately broke beneath the might of the attack. He then reaches over into a Samoan curio shop that was there for...reasons, and brought forth another taiaha and joined Fixer in his assault on Dawn coordinating his attacks with the old man as Dawn’s stamina seemed to be reaching its limits.

Visionary sends forth a decoy projection to draw Dawn’s fire, while mentally bolstering Tempest for the final charge.

Expatriette fires another round and manages to catch Dawn flush in the chest. Unfortunately, this was a police non-lethal round. It hurt immensely but Dawn remained among the living.

Luckily all of Visionary’s assistance had paid off, and now Tempest’s power levels were nearly back to where they were at the beginning of the fight. After bombarding Dawn with the cyclone and lightning, M’kk Dall’ton realized that bringing her down would take a more direct approach than he had used thus far.  Call the power of the lightning down to him he transmuted and shaped the lightning around him to create blades of pure electricity. He then charged the reeling Dawn and cut his hand in an x-shape across her chest and sending the power of a full lightning storm directly into her body. Dawn collapsed unconcious

Seeing there leader fall took the fight out of the other Citizens and those that could escape took the opportunity to do so. All others surrendered to the heroes and law enforcement. Once again Megalopolis was safe.

Next game will be

Heroes: The Scholar, Omnitron-X, Wraith, Absolute Zero, and Tachyon

Villain: The Dreamer

Environment: Wagner Mars Base

Now if a hero on a team is defeated are you going to replace the hero or is the team just down a member?  Also, welcome to the forums.

Yes if a hero is defeated they are considered out of the campaign. That is why each heroe team is comprised of eight members currently. That way the heroes can possibly recover even after a TPK. Though any team that has less than 3 heroes that they can field will lose the heroes the campaign.

Sotm Campaign 1 game 2

Villain- The Dreamer

Heroes- The Scholar, Omnitron-X, The Wraith, Absolute Zero, Tachyon

Environment- Wagner Mars Base

Scenario- Dr. Meredith Stinson, with the hopes of treating the young Vanessa Long, has had her transported to the Wagner Mars Base for the hopes of observing the psychic energies that she emanates within  a controlled environment. Accompanying her are her colleagues in the Freedom V, The Wraith and Absolute Zero, as well as the old alchemist known as The Scholar and Omnitron-X. Tachyon invited the latter two heroes for the hopes that their occult and scientific expertise might lend assistance to the continuing studies. However the routine mission observation as Ms. Long’s dreams conjure physical projections and begin to wreak havoc throughout the facility.

Villain Turn 1

An eerie light begins to emit from the Dreamer’s head as several nightmarish figures leap from her mind. Two fairies, an Ape, a unicorn with a whip for a horn, a Demon, and the Toy Master appear and begin to terrorize the fleeing personel.

“I’m not gonna say I called this, but I so called this.”, Absolute Zero says with a sigh.

Heroes Turn 1

The Scholar, with no apparent transmutations at the ready, takes the philosopher’s stone like a rock and smashes the ape in the face and destroys the projection.

O-X takes a moment to begin arming his plasma cannon module, and after analyzing the  enemies suggests to Wraith to arm her stun bolt launcher.

Taking O-X’s advice and utilizing the targeting computer in her bracer The Wraith snipes one of the fairies out of the air.

Zero takes a moment to prepare for the attacks. first focusing rejuvenating cold into the suit.

Tachyon takes of at a blur to try sucking in the remaining fairy into a vortex, but only manages to wound it.

Environment Turn 1

Just as things seemed to really be getting out of hand, one of the projections damages the controls in the biosphere. The resulting fire damage affecting the ability of all the heroes. Asolute Zero valiantly draws the heat away from Vanessa Long.

Villain Turn 2

The Toy Master, seeing the weakness in Absolute Zero after driving the flames away from The Dreamer quickly launches a psychic assault on the reeling hero. The Illusory Demon and Whipacorn join the fray as well, backed by a psionic blast from Vanessa herself, attacking the Wraith and  Tachyon respectively.

Heroes Turn 2

The Scholar, seeing how well the orb worked last time, recites a inspiring proverb that seems to soothe the wounds of his fellows and bashes that dirty Illusory Demon in his neck.

Omnitron-X readies his cannon and sends a blast of superheated plasma at the demon that the Scholar had attacked and vaporized it.

“It would be highly logical of companion Scholar to clear the line of fire.” the robot hero toned in warning. O-X then readies his Temporal Shielding and steps between the old alchemist and the remaining enemies.

The Wraith, reacting swiftly to the blaze from the biosphere, quickly equips the grappling hook from her utility belt and uses it to hit the sprinkler system and puts out the flames. Not losing focus on the battle however she quicly takes aim and snipes the troublesome Toy Master with a stun bolt. She then continued her swing on the grappling hook and kicked into the whipacorn to disperse the creature.

Absolute Zero finds himself stuck trying to reboot his systems after drawing in so much heat. He is able to get his null point calibration unit back online restoring his vital systems before his life was in danger.

Reeling from the whipacorn’s blows, Tachyon tries to use her speed to get a better view of the fight, noting that there seem to be no more enemy projections.

Enviornment Turn 2

Just as things seemed to die down an accident of people fleeing in the mainenance level seemed to have caused yet another fire in the biosphere. (Its like these people hate their own oxygen.) This time it was the Scholar who protected The Dreamer and drew the fires to himself.

Villain Turn 3

The light on Vanessa’s head changes to an ethereal green as The Dreamer awakens. Summoning a macabre spectre to attack the heroes and looses another psychic blast. With a final surge of psionic might she bring forth another nightmare army, The Toy Master , another spectre, another ape, a spider-like alien creature, and a dark reflection of the hero Legacy.

The Ape,apparently feeling angry about being defeated earlier rushed the Scholar and with savage ferocity mauls the old alchemist, neutralizing the threat.

Heroes Turn 3

O-X arms his flechette launcher and fires them into the enemies hoping to emulate the success that Wraith had with her stun bolts. the spectres and the ape were able to be dispatched but the Dreamer and the other three still remained. He then sent a time shifter Wraith’s way to help her arm her next piece of equipment.

The Wraith, utilizes her added time to ready her targeting computer and her throwing knives. She also accesses the main computer to monitor anymore pesky fires. She takes aim and fires at the remaining projections.

After finally getting his modules back online Absolute Zeroe readies his Isothermic Transducer and draws in heat to fire a blast of cold at the spider creature.

Using her lightning reflexes and blinding speed to push her limits, Tachyon is able to eliminate the arachnoid.

Environment Turn 3

While no more fires seem to erupt the Dreamer does manage to float into the armory, which cannot be good.

Villain Turn 4

With the heroes already reeling, the The Dreamer’s next blast brought all but Tachyon down. This left Dr. Stinson alone to face the coming horde of projections.

All communication with the Mars base was lost before its destruction as the Dreamers wave of carnage carried her through the void.

Next Stop Earth.

Next Game

Tempest,Bunker,Chrono-Ranger, Expatriette, and Fanatic vs. Baron Blade @ Silver Gulch

So just had my copy of Vengeance come in and am considering adding the Heroes and Villains to the Camapaign. Do you guys think I shoud? Is it enought with the current lineup even though team two is almost eliminated?

Need moar Setback.  Just sayin'.

Im not opposed to the idea of playing setback. Also the V5 sound like great final bosses. The idea of a conspiracy of seemingly unrelated events culminating with a confrontation against them kinda reminds me of the Young Justice TV storyline.

So roster update

Team 1: adding The Sentinels, Knyfe,

Team 2: adding The Naturalist, Parse, Setback

Also adding the Vengeance 5 as as the Final Bosses and Freedom Tower, and the Mobile Defense Platform to the Environment Pool

Campaign 1 game 3

Scenario:

Things seemed ordinary at Freedom Tower until Legacy started to phase out of existence. Upon analyzing the timestream it was discovered that Baron Blade had utilized temporal technology to travel back to 1883 to murder the Legacy of the old west. Utilizing Con’s time travel technology, Chrono-Ranger journeys back to his home time to save the life of the Freedom Five founder. He is accompanied by Tempest, Bunker, Expatriette, and Fanatic. Upon arriving things almost seem ordinary in Silver Gulch until one of Blade’s mobile defense platforms come over the horizon. The heroes ready themselves for battle, determined to stop the Mad Baron before he can murder their friend’s ancestor.

Villain Turn 1:

Upon picking up the heroes’ temporal signature on his scanners, Blade orders a second platform to reinforce his position

Heroes Turn 1:

Tempest raises his arms to the air and with an effort of will calls the weather patterns to summon a lightning storm to buffet the platforms.

Bunker Arms his Flak Cannon and opens fire at the second platform to arrive.

“Jim, you should find this useful.” Con calls from a time portal that opens to toss Chrono-Ranger a temporal grenade. He grins, turns the dial to the modern day and tosses it at one of the platforms, sending it back to its home time.

Expatriette takes one of her favored handguns, Pride, and after having Fanatic fly her to the remaining platform, fights her way to the engine controls and fires into the console, causing the aerial fortress to list to one side.

Fanatic lands on the deck of the airship and brings her hands before her. With the power of her faith she consecrates the area. The supernatural energies that suffuse her shorting out the flight controls she picks up Expatriette as the escape the falling structure.

Environment Turn 1:

The falling platform strikes the town water tower, putting out the fires onboard and arcing Tempest’s lightning to several of the surrounding enemies.

Villain Turn 2

Baron Blade is able to get one of the turrets on the fallen ship to strafe the heroes.

Heroes Turn 2:

Tempest channels the lightning through the wet structures, shocking Baron Blade as well as destroying the troublesome turret.

While chasing Blade through the wreckage Bunker opens fire again with the Flak Cannon. It certainly is intimidating, but he is not able to do more that graze the Baron.

“Keep up the lightning through the water. It seems to be giving the old Baron fits.”, Jim orders as he shoots his revolver into the Baron at range, his armor taking the brunt of the force from the bullet.

Expatriette unslings her assault rifle while advancing with Chrono-Ranger and unloads gunfire into the enemy position to the screams of Blade’s minions.

Fanatic channels her radiant aura and smites Baron Blade. Launching a series of savage blows she ends her charge by knocking the Baron out of a window into the town outside.

Environment Turn 2:

Out of the dust cloud, sheriff badge gleaming in the afternoon sun, Sheriff Pratt strides forth and seeing the Baron as the obvious leader of these futuristic attackers opens fire with his trusty single action revolver at Blade as he reads him his rights.

Villain Turn 3:

The Baron draws a blade from his labcoat and moves to get away from the terrifying sheriff. He attacks the troublesome Tempest while trying to send a fire blast from one of his gadgets at Fanatic, the moisture in the environment minimizing the intensity of the flames.

Heroes Turn 3:

Tempest calls forth his powers and channels his lightning into a blade to fend off the attacking villain, channeling the power of the storm to assist him in countering the Baron.

Bunker, trusting in the invincibility of his armor, strides fearlessly towards the Baron and once more fires his cannon into Blade.

Checking the Bounty Board for Baron Blade’s entry in regards to his danger to humanity’s future, he finds a “Dead or Alive” entry next to Blade’s picture and opens fire twice into the mad villain.

Expatriette, seeing an opening in Blade’s defenses, loads her hollow point ammo and unloads her guns into the Baron.

As Blade drops bullet-riddled to the ground, a suit of powered armor charges forth from the wreckage and encases the Baron in its protection. With a laugh as the suits life support and anesthetic systems activate the Baron unsheathes a large energy-edged sword from the forearm of his armor as he moves to once more engage the heroes.

Fanatic channels her positive energy to harm the wicked and heal the righteous, her prayer of exorcism seeming to burn Blade even in the safety of his armor.

Environment Turn 3:

Tyler Hayes rushes out into the chaos of the battle, his oversized gatling gun making him a danger to hero and villain alike. With this more mundane enemy before him, Pratt moves to put down the overzealous gunman.

Villain Turn 4:

Blade opens several ports on his armor, emitting a harmful radioactive energy to the heroes as his nanites repair his broken body. He then takes his energy blade and attacks Bunker.

Heroes Turn 4:

Continuing his storm, Tempest brings forth shielding winds to protect his allies from the attacks of the Baron and the native gunmen.

Bunker, opens the auxilary ports on his armor to draw power from Tempest’s storm as he brings up his cannon and fires on the Blade Armor.

Chrono-Ranger utilizes his cybernetically enhanced arm to rip forth a plank of wood from a nearby building and clubs Tyler Hayes across the head, and puts to bullets into to him to bring him down.

Expatriette brings up Pride and fires at the enemy power armor looking for a weakness.

Fanatic engages the Baron without fear. Armed only with her faith she challenges the Blade Armor in close combat.

Environmen Turn 4:

After Tyler dropped, his brother, Cyrus, came forth out of the nearby saloon. With a grin he drew his twin revolvers and opened fire on Blade and Tempest.

Villain Turn 5:

Blade then activates his backlash field to counter any further damage and starts to counter-attack Fanatic.

Heroes Turn 5:

Tempest continues his lightning barrage and adds hail to the mix to further hinder Blade.

Bunker stalls momentarily looking to his other systems for something to counter the Blade Armor’s energy field.

Jim brings for Danny-Boy, a demonic combination of a revolver, crossbow, and grenade launcher and fires a flaming volley at Blade. Fanatic moves to intercept the responding lightning blast.

Expatriette quickly loads her shock rounds into her assault rifle and fires and entire clip of suppressing fire into the surrounding enemies, taking out Cyrus Hayes and further damaging the armor with Fanatic once again absorbing the responding fire.

Aglow with holy vengeance, Fanatic rises into the air.

“Ivan Grigori Ramonat, you have been judged and found wanting. Perish!”, she cries as she descends with a righteous fury. Blasting through the Blade Armor with her body aglow, she tears Blade out of his armor and smites him with a tremendous blow, rendering him unconcious.

Between Con and Bunker, the heroes are able to quickly recover all future technology and manage to return to their own time.  Legacy is saved and the timeline secured.

End Game- Heroes win

Ra imbues the power of flame into his allies and blasts into Omnitron, destroying those last few components that had harmed them before.

Naturalist brings down his powerful jaws, now imbued with fire, down on Omnitron’s flank, ripping out crutial circuits.

Environment Turn 2:

The Mystical Defenses continue their firing. Ra seeing that the nearby seaweed could become a problem, burns it away with his fires.

Villain Turn 3:

Legacy continues drawing fire from the energy blasts as he charges forward.

Unity searches through her supply crate as Platform Bot opens fire into the automotons.

Ra fires into Omnitron again.

Naturalist bites into Omnitron once more.

Environment Turn 3:

The defenses continue to fire, causing a hallway collapse and destroying Platform bot as well as the remaining drones.

Unity cobbles together a Beebot to deliver aid the naturalist. The ensuing snap of his tech-assisted gator jaws tear a huge chunk out of the naturalist.

Ra becomes a living conflagration funnels more flame at the dropship.

Naturalist changes form to a rhinoceros and charges around to draw fire from Omnitron.

Environment Turn 4:

A kraken tentacle burst through the side wall and smashes into Bee Bot. This causes the robot to explode, discouraging the cryptid and blasting Omnitron with shrapnel.

Villain  Turn 5:

Omnitron opens fire on Naturalist. The Rhinoceros form is tough, but unable to withstand the focused fire of Onitron’s lasers and the Naturalist is brought down in a smoldering heap.

Heroes Turn 5:

Parse fires another shot at the downed Omnitron.

Legacy continues his charge and bolsters his allies.

Unity deploys another Platform Bot from her workstation and orders it to open fire on Omnitron.

Next Game: KNYFE, Fanatic, Sentinels, Tempest, and Mr. Fixer vs. Iron Legacy @ Pike Industrial Complex

Dont need to play it, you will win.

Campaign 1 Game 5

Scenario:

Following  the Shattered Timelines event, the extra-temporal tyrant known as the Iron Legacy was apprehended and imprisoned in the Block. Chairman Pike took a certain interest in the thought of a metahuman as powerful as the Legacy who could be used by himself for the furtherment of his own goals and that of his associates. It would also make for an excellent secret weapon should certain operatives under his command ever believes themselves ready for usurpation.  Such a situation seemed unlikely, but Pike had ways of dealing with those foolish enough to call him paranoid. So, he had his Operative infiltrate the Block and make off with a sample of the superhuman’s blood. He ordered it brought to his labs underneath the Pike Industrial Complex, and ordered his scientists to begin the cloning process.

Paige Huntly, former agent of FILTER and current hero known as KNYFE, had been notified through certain unnoficial channels that there had been intrusion at the Block and that an item of great power had been stolen. Reports had confirmed that the last known location of the thief was somewhere in Rook City. Putting out a call to heroes who were in the area, she rallied Fanatic, the Sentinels, Tempest, and Mister Fixer to her aid. After a few days of investigation, an interrogation with a overly knowledgeable drug dealer had notified them of strange goings on at the Pike Industrial Complex. Perhaps someone was doing something with the industrial strength laboratories there. Upon there arrival at the plant, they began snooping around. They had just come across another seeming innocent warehouse in the east wing when the ground erupted from underneath them. A naked figure emerged. Holding a scientist aloft in one hand, and covered in blood not his own, the specimen turned to the 8 newcomers.

“Help! HELP!”, the man screamed until a squeeze and pop from the Proto-Legacy’s hand around his neck silenced him forever.

“Justice”, the clone said in finality after killing the man. He then turned to the new foes gathered around him. With a surge of speed and power, he charged these new enemies with another cry of “JUSTICE!”

Villain Turn 1:

Proto-Legacy attacks with a fury. He engages all the gathered heroes, dashing from one to another.  Dr. Medico finds himself disincorporated as the clone decapitates him with a mighty chop. Seeing one of her dads so badly hurt leads to a moment of hesitation from the Idealist, which is all this monster needs as he charges towards her and boots her out of the warehouse through the wall where she landed with a wet thud and did not move. The mighty mainstay rushed the mad lab experiment from behind trying to hold him, but finds himself crippled when it swings both its legs backwards, shattering both shins right above the ankle. Writhe was able to utilize his intangibility to distract the Legacy lookalike for a brief few seconds before the clone inhaled air into its powerful lungs and let loose a superpowered howl, rendering him unconcious.

Heroes turn 1:

KNYFE was in awe, within a few seconds this monster had taken out half of her team. She had seen what hesitation had gotten the Idealist though and channeled energy into the right arm of her armor. When the out of control metahuman came her way she met him with a counter punch that sent him flying.

Fanatic began channeling the power of her faith to counter the defenses of their attacker.

Tempest utilizes the electricity in his own body to create two lightning swords that he uses to charge the creature, scoring twin hits across his chest.

Fixer enters his cranes stance and follows Tempest into the melee striking to create openings for the powers of his fellow heroes.

Environment Turn 1:

The fighting led to the Trisolvent Vats, where the Proto-Legacy was smashed through one of the vats to no seeming effect on the clone. It did however make the area hazardous for the Heroes, complicating and already difficult and costly battle.

Villain Turn 2:

His resemblance to the dark reflection of there leader demoralizing the heroes, Proto-Legacy continues his attack.

Heroes turn 2:

Knyfe conjures a blade of energy to her hand and managed to get a stab into Proto-Legacy before being knocked away.

Seeing the soulless rage in their enemies eyes, Fanatic draws in  as much radiant energy as she can hold.

“Face me abomination!” , she cries as she charges. The target of her wrathful retribution turned just in time to take the full fury of Fanatic’s charge head on.  After a flash of holy light and a collision that sounded like a thousand hammers smashing on anvils, only Fanatic remained.

End game:

After the Legacy clone had been defeated. The team immediately put out a call for assistance to get the Sentinels to a hospital. By the time they had returned, all evidence of who could have been running the secret lab underneath Pike had been removed. Chairman Pike of course condemned the actions of these renegade terrorists and denied any knowledge or involvement in this horrible disaster. KNYFE still had her suspicions but lacked the proof to question him further.

Chairman Pike did not know what had caused the lab to lose containment of the subject, but it had taken out the Sentinels, so he could not consider the situation a total loss. It had also led him to a very intriguing discovery. After his scientists had cloned the Iron Legacy they had managed to completely map the former hero’s genetic sequence. With this he could potentially, map out not just current powers of the Legacy, but maybe even future powers as well. It showed in his genetic code the marker for atomic vision, a well known power of the hero’s daughter, Young Legacy, so with added dedication to the information more could possibly be gleaned, and he did know of a certain Mad Baron that would love to have added information regarding the great Legacy.
